I'd been snuggled up in Vik's bed for an hour when the door flung open.

I didn't bother to turn around, my body still aching from sobbing in the kitchen. Cal had had to literally carry me up the stairs, Vik trying to help but failing miserably.

"I love you. I thought you loved me too."

My heartrate accelerated as I turned around to face Simon. By the looks of things, he'd also been crying, his eyes red and lips puffy.

I sat up in the messy bed and opened my mouth to speak. Of course, I loved him, but how could I trust him?

"Last time I loved you, you broke my heart..." I said quietly, my voice shaking as I faced Simon. "Why should I trust you now?"

Simon stood silently for a while before stepping closer to the bed, his hands physically shaking.

"I'm not going to break your heart now. Please, don't break mine," he breathed. He was scared, I could see it in his eyes and hear it in his heart. He was scared because he thought I would break him.

I slowly slid from out of Vik's bedsheets and stood in front of Simon, my eyes glued to the blond.

"I would never break your heart."

The tension in the air was unreadable. Was it sexual? Was it sadness? Was in anger? All I knew was that Simon was stood in front of me and nothing else mattered apart from this boy.

It took seconds for the mood to change in the room. One minute, we were both sad and broken-hearted and the next, we were lustful and hungry for each other.

Simon closed the space between us first, his long legs bringing him towards me as his hands wrapped securely around my waist.

My hands flew upwards and cupped Simon's face, the blond staring down at me.

"Fuck, you're so beautiful," he whispered, and I felt a surge of heat between my legs. I didn't say anything before pressing our lips towards, painfully slow and filled with passion.

I knew I shouldn't do this to myself, dive head-first into something with Simon, but when you share something so time-consuming, it's quite hard to let go.
