Dan, Simon and I were running through the airport as fast as we could. We'd booked Dan a flight to New York and were racing against the clock. In a few minutes Phil would return to Dan's old flat and find nobody home apart from the basic furniture. Dan would be gone. For good.

We finally reached Dan's terminal and he spun around to face me. Tears in both our eyes, we embraced tightly, the taller boy shaking slightly.

"Thank you. Thank you so much," he whispered in my ear before we pulled away.

Simon walked up behind me as we watched Dan board the plane, tears streaming down my face. He placed his arms around my waist and rested his head on my shoulder, my hands clinging onto his.

"You did amazing, baby," Simon assured me as we watched Dan leave and disappear into the plane.

I just nodded and let the tears stream down my face. I was happy we'd helped Dan, but I couldn't stop the feeling of fear bubble in my stomach.

Simon grinned as I chucked a water balloon at him, missing by a mile. The blond laughed and wiped some dripping water from his face from earlier balloons.

"Vik was a better hit when he broke his collarbone, come on Rose!" he teased, a smirk on his face. I huffed and grabbed another balloon before throwing it towards him. The balloon exploded against his face and sent Simon stumbling back.

"Ha! I am a good hit!" I cried, and Simon chuckled. He grabbed a towel he'd set out and rubbed his hair in attempt to dry it.

Walking up to me, he grinned, and I knew what was coming, but it was too late.

I screamed as drops of water hit me, drenching my clothes. Simon only laughed as I stood in front of him, wet and dripping.

"You dick!" I moaned as he chucked me the towel. I wrapped it around my hair and glared playfully at Simon.

"You look good when you're wet," he joked with a smirk. I gasped and hit him, though I couldn't stop the laugh erupt from my lips.

I looked at Simon and the world froze. I was genuinely in love with this man. We'd been through so much and here we were, laughing at each other like nothing else mattered.

I really felt that nothing could hurt us at this point. Dan had left and taken his troubles with him, Simon and I were in a good place. What else could happen to us?
