A horn is heard in the distance from where they came.Thorin starts to climb back up the entrance however slips every time causing cuts on his hands as Dwalin and Balin restrain him from trying again. Thorin the slumps to the floor yelling and shouting.Fili and Kili have never seen this desperate side of their uncle. Demanding that they have to go back out there to get her.

The elves have arrived and as the elves start killing the orcs, one of them topples down into the underground tunnel. Thorin stands up but not as the fearless leader but the man who has lost his everything. He pulls out the arrow and mutters elves under his breath. As he tries to composes himself.

"I cannot see where the pathway leads. Do we follow it or not?" Dwalin says from the other side of the cave. Having moved from Thorin's side.

"We follow it, of course!" Bofur replies. As he moves towards Dwalin.

"I think that would be wise." Gandalf mutters as he starts towards the pathway. They follow the path inside the tunnel. Balin guides Thorin through the cave preventing him going back to the orcs.

"The Valley of Imladris. In the common tongue, it's known by another name." Gandalf announced.

"Rivendell." Bilbo interrupts.

"Here lies the last homely house, east of the sea." Gandalf informs as he moves to follow the path again but is stopped by Thorin.

"This was your plan all along, to seek refuge with our enemy." Thorin shouts at Gandalf. While he tries to push thoughts of Gelli laying there in pain out of his mind.

"You have no enemies here, Thorin Oakenshield. The only ill-will to be found in this valley is that which you bring yourself." Gandalf replies.

"You think the Elves will give our quest their blessing? They will try to stop us." Thorin argues. The stone cold Thorin returns.

"Of course, they will. But we have questions that need to be answered. If we are to be successful this will need to be handled with tact, and respect, and no small degree of charm, which is why you will leave the talking to me." Gandalf answers as he guides the group on towards the palace entrance.

As the group approach the front steps Gandalf and Lindir strike a conversation and not long after they start elvish guards on horse back come tearing across the bridge headed straight for the company.

Thorin's point of view.

"My Lord Elrond is not here." The stuck up baby faced elf replied to Gandalf.

"Not here? Where is he?" Gandalf repeats in return.

"Close ranks!" I yell as i pull Ori in close as the elvish troops head straight for us.

The elvish troops surround us.  A very familiar elf is assisted off the horse. I recognize him to be Gelli's Uncle. Well this will not end well.

"Gandalf!" Lord Elrond exclaims. They greet each other in a different language i suppose it was Elvish as he's Lord Elrond.

"Lоrd Εlrоnd." The wizard reply's back. A movement from one off the horses near the back catches my attention.  A quite voice repeating my name over and over and then i saw it . A guard lifted Her up and carried her towards the stairs her hand dangling down dripping blood and then i heard her the guard had stop moving and all she said was "Thorin, my love, i'm sorry" in a hoarse voice and then it went silent and the guard dashed of shouting orders at the other guards to get healers. All i had the strength to do was stare at the retreating figure unable to move as the one person i love, the one thing i'd give anything for disappeared. I was jolted back into the present by the voice of her uncle.

"Strange for orcs to come so close to our borders. Something or someone has drawn them near." The voice broke and then started again full of control.

" Ah, that may have been us." Gandalf butted in. Elrond glances towards me anger and betrayal evident in his eyes. As he welcomes us.

 "Welcome Thorin, son of Thrain."

" I do not believe we have met." i replied.

"You have your Grandfather's bearing. I knew Thror when he ruled under the mountain." He mentioned.

"Indeed? He made no mention of you." my words full of spite.

The elf mutters elvish.

"What is he saying? Does he offer us insult?" Gloin interjects.

"No, Master Gloin, he's offering you food." Gandalf defends the Lord. All i can think of is her words repeating over and over in my head "I'm Sorry."

"Ah, Well. In that case, lead on." Gloin's voice snaps me out of my thoughts. As the group head towards the stairs Elrond and Gandalf take off running in the direct they took Gelli. My heart aches for her touch, and her good spirit as the maids lead us off towards our rooms to clean up for dinner.
