Daughter of a fanatical Christian fundamentalist, Carrie white didn't have the normalest of upbringings. Her mother's vindictive and unstable personality was what made Carrie have a deep loathing for her mother, who ruled Carrie harshly with repeated threats of damnation. But she didn't escape the torment when she left the house, it only followed her to school.

She was the center of bullying, none of the girls easing up on her when it to making fun of her. The girls knew that she was different amongst her fellow students, but she was used to the taunting and the torment. But after one incident with the school's popular girls in the locker room, Carrie was pushed over the edge; that was when she discovered that she was truly different than the others.

Carrie had telekinetic powers, and because of the fear of her mother, she practiced her powers in secret. Developing strength and control over them. But even when she thought she had control over her powers, there were still episodes of destruction around her, and it scared her. Because she didn't think that it could get worse than that.

Then out of nowhere, Tommy Ross asked Carrie to the prom, and she began to believe that her life was beginning to change for the better. But that wasn't the case.

Because after that night, everyone would know her name.
