You walked along side with Mad, him holding you hand tightly. He's been wanting to come here for a long time now, but you were never sure about it. You're not very keen with this kind of thing, and it doesn't help that you get scared easily. Going to a carnival strictly based on horror just seemed like Mad getting himself a chance to get you scared half to death.
Yous sighed as you walked along with Mads' hand clenched tightly in yours, looking around frantically. This place made you more paranoid than anything that's happened before, and you were pretty sure your hands where trembling.
Mad looked down at you, raising an eyebrow as he smiled his toothy smile. “Don't worry, I've got you.” He said, his wide red eyes staring at you.
That hardly made you feel any better.
Despite your fear, and pulled his arm close and cuddled next to him. Your face heated up a bit, but not very much concerning all of the evil clowns, zombies, and popup scares that were all around you.
Mad wrapped an arm around you then, pulling you close. He rubbed your shoulder slightly, chuckling to himself. He seemed to be enjoying this too much. You loved him, you really did, but he enjoyed scaring you too much. He knows that you're easily frightened and really jumpy, so he takes that to his advantage. It's a wonder that he even got you to come to this place... But you couldn't say no to his big eyes. Especially when he begged, he was like a little puppy.
You tried to shake the thoughts out of your head, you weren't even dating. You didn't even think he was very interested in you, at all. It was more like a 'friends with benefits' kind of thing. It sucked for you, because you had to be around him all of the time since he was practically your best friend. Plus, they say falling for your best friend only ends in disaster.
Mad smiled then and unlinked your arms, gliding his hand down to your wrist and pulling you towards one of the buildings to the right. You gasped a bit at being pulled out of your thoughts, and followed him as he practically dragged you.
He turned towards you, his eyes wide as he smiled this adorable toothy grin. “Can we go in here?!” He asked, as if you had a choice in the matter.
You looked over at the building behind him and felt your stomach drop. “A haunted house horror ride.” You read out loud, looking at him as if he was crazy. Mad chuckled, gripping your wrist and pulling you close to his face. “You go on with me, right?” He asked softly, as if he knew being that close to him would affect your answer.
You tried to hide the redness on your face and you looked off to the side, “Yeah, yeah...whatever, sure.” You complied with him, your blood running cold as you knew you'd be screaming your head off the entire time. Though, there was an upside to this. You could be close to Mad without actually trying, this time. You'd have an excuse too, you'd be so scared that you'd have to grip onto him.
Mad smiled widely and nodded, pulling away from you as he walked up to the person managing the ride. It was only a two-at-a-time ride, with one buggy that went throughout the big building. You were shaking now that you caught up with what you were doing, riding a ride like this. It was certainly only something you'd be forced to do.
