"This is how we do it, it's Friday night"- Montell Jordan...

Once graduation was over, there were so many parties during the week. I swear I was never home. But this Friday was the party to be at. If anyone misses it, I feel bad for them. I was over my friend Kamila's house getting ready for the turn up tonight.

"Shanice hurry up! We're going to be late!"

"Kamila... the party started three hours ago, another thirty minutes won't hurt."

I had packed a bag full of clothes the night before the party. I finally decided on an outfit. Burgundy suede pencil skirt, black crop top-the bra looking kind, heels, and a leather jacket in case it was cold. I did my makeup and took down my curls. You couldn't tell me that I wasn't a baddie right now. Kamila came back into the room and I could see the annoyance with me in her eyes. I looked her up and down to see what she had on. Striped crop top, ripped jeans, and vans. She was never a girly girl like me, but she looked cute in her own way. Before she could yell at me, I said,

"Let's go Mila, damn. What took you so long?"

I got my brother to drive us to the party because I didn't feel like driving at all. Plus, why get this cute and not have a chauffeur?

"You look really gorgeous Shanice"

"Thank you Mila...you too!"

" Nah, not like you. You're perfect. Nice body, face, style. You have no flaws."

I didn't know what to say back, so I just smirked. I didn't know we were on Bad Girls Club doing confessionals! Sheesh. After some silence, she spoke again, but her tone was different.

"So...what if you see Raheem here?"

"I see Heem every day, so what?"

She tensed up when I said that phrase, especially his nick name. He only lets people he truly cares for call him that. I found her staring at me and it was creeping me out. Thank God that we finally pulled up to the party. You could smell the weed all the way in the car. Before we walked inside, my brother decided to give some words of wisdom.

"Get out thots, don't come home pregnant Shanice."

This was his ridiculous way of showing that he cared.

"You know you can come too right, you're only eighteen."

"Sorry sis, but I have better things to do and a life."

"Sean...watching porn and jack- he sped off before I could finish.

I looked up and Kamila was waiting for me. These mixed signals are throwing me off, but my turn up will not be ruined. I let her walk in first and all of these boys who didn't look our age were staring at her just to look. When they saw me, their eyes quickly turned to lust. I've always ignored attention after Raheem basically played me. I wonder if his mystery girl will be here tonight. Once I stopped day dreaming, I separated from Kamila before she gave me a death glare. I went out to the dance floor when I heard Beyonce's Dance for you come on. I was just fine dancing by myself, but someone decided to get behind me, so I gave whoever it was a show. I knew it was a boy because I felt his bulge after awhile. When the song was over, I turned around to see who was behind me and it was a very hard Raheem. All I could do was laugh and walk away. I sat down at the drink station and heard someone walk up next to me.

"Damn ma, I didn't know you could do all of that."

"I didn't have a reason to." I said with attitude.

"Oh, so I wasn't a good enough reason? And chill with the attitude."

He knew that I liked when he took charge and put me in my place. He started smiling and it was still as beautiful as the day we met.

"What do you want Heem?"

He saw that I wasn't falling for his charm and decided to sit down.

"Look Shanice, I miss you. I miss us. I can't just throw a two year relationship down the drain like that."

I started to chuckle.

"You cheated on me with some mystery girl for one of those years! And obviously she won."

"I know, I know. And I'm sorry."

We sat there in an awkward silence. His eyes were doing most of the talking by the way they were looking me up and down.

"See something you like?"

He looked up and smirked.

"Yeah, you."

I really was over Raheem this time and told myself I'd never go back. Right when I was about to respond, someone called him.

"Heem! Heem! There you are."

The voice was coming from Kamila. Great.

She ran up to him smiling, then frowned once she saw me sitting next to him. She started rubbing all over him and I could see the annoyance in his face.

"You didn't hear me calling you Heem?"

He finally turned around and acknowledged her.

"What I tell you about calling me that?

"But...ee, everyone else does."

"False, my fam, boys, and Shanice do. Are you any of them?"

She looked dumbfounded and didn't respond.

"Yeah, that's what I thought."

I could see that she was embarrassed. As I sat there watching them, I had finally put two and two together. I couldn't help but laugh as she ran off.

"Is there something I need to know?"

"Nah."

I didn't have time for these two fools, so I walked away from him and went back to the dance floor. I don't know why God gave me so much rhythm because I was killing it. Every time I looked up, I could see Raheem staring at me. The last time though, Kamila was escorting him to a back room. This shit wouldn't hurt at all if she wasn't supposedly my best friend. I decided that I needed to smoke, so I found where the weed was. I don't know what I was inhaling, but three puffs got me on an ultimate high. However, it wasn't enough to notice this guy staring in my direction.

Once I got home, I removed all of my makeup and just hopped in bed. I was too tired to take a shower. I was trying my best to go to sleep, but my phone just kept ringing with messages. I regretted the moment when I read them.

Mila<3: Can't always get what you want

Mila<3: Ms. Perfect has a flaw, huh

Mila<3: He never loved you

Mila<3: It's always been about me

Mila<3: Heem and I belong together

Is this girl serious? I decided to reply.

Shanice: Better stop calling him Heem before he embarrasses yo ass again

Mila<3: I can call MY MAN whatever I want. He was just drunk

Shanice: Yeah, drunk enough to lie about you two. Liquor is supposed to bring the truth out honey :)

She didn't reply and I finally was able to get some sleep. I need to make sure to delete that wannabe's number in the morning.
