Watching Chris and Jill hold Piers by the hands letting him swing in-between you smiled looking down at the math homework that Wesker's left for you. Putting it aside you curl up hugging your legs till a shadow covers you from the sun. Lifting up your math homework he checks which ones are right and wrong before setting it back down and lifting you up onto his lap. Wrapping you around in his winter jacket you rest your head on his chest.
“Daddy. Why don't I have a mommy?” You ask him and he pops his neck annoyed from that question. But when you look up at him with an innocent curious face his facial expressions softens. “Do you want a mother?”
Looking back at Jill and Chris you think about it for a bit and hug his arm. “What am I doing wrong?” Wesker asks worried that he is failing as a parent. “Nothing. I was just wondering why you never, you know. Daddy is handsome and strong and smart but no girlfriend.”
Looking up at Jill smiling Wesker smirks understanding. “You wanted Jill to be your mother.” Looking up at him shocked with red cheeks he looks down at your shocked expression on how he got that right. “Do you need a mommy? Or do you want a mommy? Which is it?” Taking off his shades he patiently let's you think carefully on your answer. “There is needing and than there is wanting. Needing-” before he can finish you answer him with an annoyed tone.
“I know Naslow's Hierarchy of needs! But… it's not for me..” you mumble.
“It's for you. I want Daddy to have someone. I don't want daddy to be alone. You are alone because you have the heart of a snake. But I don't want daddy to be alone.”
Wesker grinds his teeth hugging you close.
“I do not need anyone or anything.”
Shaking your head you deny his words.
“Your heart can't be cold. I'm still here because of you. There's no endless winter and there is no endless summer. Daddy has to love something.”
Wesker's eyes close as he holds your head close to his chest listening to how you describe him. You believe he is a cold snake with no heart for anything or anyone. But that doesn't bother him one bit because only he knows he has something that keeps him human. “Have I failed at being a father?”
Wiping your tears with your fists you try to push him back but he holds you close to his chest. “Let me see your eyes.” You say sniffing.
“I don't need you to look me in the eyes and feel intimidated in saying a lie. I want to hear it from you. I want you to speak freely.”
Sniffing your grip his shirt. “Daddy… you sacrificed yourself for me. Educated me. Gave me a home and don't hurt me. You are the best in my eyes.”
Wesker closes his eyes embracing you close feeling relief spread through him.
Piers runs up to Wesker with his face puffy trying to give him the most serious face.
“Sir. Can y/n play with me?”
Wesker looks at him with his eyebrows meeting in the center. “No.” Wesker says strictly. “Daddy!” You push him and turn to look at Piers who looks at you worried. “Why are you crying?” Piers reaches up to wipe away a tear and Wesker stands up with you in his arms not wanting Piers to touch you. “Why is she crying?” Piers voice changes to a worried boy.
“None of your business brat.” Wesker replies coldly. “Daddy! No, bad daddy.” You say turning to grab his hand and smack it softly. Wesker slowly turns to look at you feeling offended. You just spanked his hand.
“I'll let her play with you if can solve this equation.” Wesker lifts up your homework and he hands it to Piers who looks at the numbers and all the work you showed to get an answer. “I don't understand this..” Piers says feeling defeated but he looks up at your puffy face.
“I'll do it! If I solve it she plays with me!”
Piers raises his hand to shake Wesker's but Wesker just smirks walking away. “I'll see.”
“Daddy that's not fair. Piers doesn't know algebra 2. Why are you so mean to him?”
Resting your chin on his shoulder pouting Wesker rubs your back. In Wesker's mind no boy is good enough for his princess not even Piers. But he wants to see just how determined Piers is.
---------
“Solved it!” Piers runs in the lab waving the paper around and Wesker looks down at him taking the paper looking over the work and the numbers. “You cheated.” Wesker says not believing that Piers solved it by himself. “No I didn't! I solved it! She can play with me! Even for a day!”
Wesker growls and looks at the paper setting it down thinking about it. “Please sir.” Piers says changing his tone to a begging tone.
Looking away Wesker moves the side of the lab coat and Piers sees you hugging Wesker's leg till you look over your shoulder seeing Piers. Cautiously looking up at Wesker who is looking away you let go of his leg and slowly make your way to Piers who takes hold of your hand. Wesker keeps looking to the side knowing if he even glanced you wouldn't go with Piers. But he can't force you to completely always be by his side. This is where Wesker has to learn how to let you go sometimes.
“Come on. Jill made sandwiches.” Piers says pulling you along and Wesker looks at Piers quickly. “One scratch on her and you will never be around her again. Am I understood boy.”
Piers stops to look at you and at Wesker before sliding his feet together with his fist on his chest. “Sir Yes Sir!”
Wesker shakes his head and looks back at the math homework hearing you run off with Piers.
