chapter 19

Chloe's pov.

Today is the day that we are going on a run. We are all well rested and ready to go! With we i mean aubrey, stacie, emily, hailee and me. The rest stays here to keep on working on that wall. Beca is the only one awake that stays here. We hug and kiss for a minute before we break apart. "Stay safe and don't get too greedy!" beca tells me. I smile and kiss her cheeck. "Don't worry. I will be safe." i say. Beca smiles and nods. She looks at the others. "You guys also need to be safe. Don't leave eachother behind! If someone looks like she's going to faint then wait thirty minutes if you need to. I give you guys two weeks to get back since it's a four day walk. So you will have four days to loot. That should be more then enough, right?" beca asks. We all nod. "Alright, if you're not back in two weeks then we will look for you guys." beca says. "You shouldn't do that." stacie says. Beca looks confused and looks at her. "I shouldn't do what?" she asks stacie. "Come after us. If we aren't back by then, then something must have happend. It means that there is danger. You shouldn't come after us and risk your life if we aren't back." beca sighs. "And what if you guys got stuck somewhere and actually need our help to get out, but because you told me not to come we didn't. You guys then die because we didn't come. That's the only thing that i would be thinking abojt then. There was a chance that i could have saved them. If you guys are late then i will look for you guys. And if you don't like it then you should make sure that you are back on time." beca says. Stacie sighs and nods. "Alright. Take care of yourself." stacie says. Beca smiles and nods. "Will do. See you in two weeks." she says. We wave while walking away. Four more days until we reach that town.

Beca's pov.

I watch how they walk away and wait until i can't see them anymore before i start to work on the wall. We finished cutting all the trees we need. The only thing left is to look for some nails or somehow make them. I asked the group if they wanted to look out for them but we can't wait to continue working on the wall until they are here. The wall needs to be here as soon as possible. I decide to look in the basement for some nails. I walk downstairs and look at the punching bag. I remember punching a hole in one. That was kind off awesome. There is a closet here with all sorts off things. I hope that their are some nails their. If not then we will have a big problem. I open the closet and look inside. I smile when i notice a little box. I pick it up and look inside. Nails. Perfect! Now i can start on the wall. We decided to make the wall about ten feet away from the cabin. Of course we won't put a wall in the lake. We were thinking about putting the wall around it or maybe even let it be. I was thinking about building the wall around it. That way it's much safer for us. But we will have to ask the others what they think about it. Flo made three shovels yesterday with some wood, stone and rope. We were planning to build a hole for each piece of wood that needs to go in there. It will take a lot of time to dig all those holes and i can't do that alone. I need at least one more person to help me. I thought about using my ground powers to make that hole but i'm not that good with it yet. I'm afraid that i will mess it up if i try. I grab the shovel on the way out and put the nails on the table. I can start with the holes already. I don't need to wake the others up for that.

Stacie's pov.

We have been walking for about half an hour and none off us are tired yet. We thought that we would need a five minute break every half hour. But we still have a lot of energy. If we keep this up then we won't need to walk four days until we reach it. "I'm glad that i'm on a run again. Even better is that i don't have to do it alone now." hailee says with a smile. Emily smiles at her and takes her hand. "If it's up to me then you will never have to do anything alone anymore." she says. I smile at how cute they are. They really do fit together. Aubrey takes my hand and i look at her. "Aren't they cute together?" she asks me. I smile and nod. "Not as cute as you tho." i say. Aubrey blushes and kisses my cheeck. " that was sweet." aubrey says. "Hey hailee? Can i ask you something?" emily asks her. Me and aubrey look at them. "Yeah, sure. What do you want to ask?" she asks emily. "How was it like to be alone for that long?" emily asks her. "Wait, how long were you alone actually?" aubrey asks her. Hailee looks at aubrey and smiles a little. "For about a month or something like that." she says. Aubrey her eyes widen. "You were alone for a month in the zombie apocalypse!? How did you survive?" aubrey asks her. Hailee laughs a little and shrugs. "A lot off nights without sleep and days without food or water. Having the will to survive and find some sign of himanity. Stuff like that, but mostly hope. Hope that i will have the chance to meet my big sister. And i finaly did." she says.
