chapter four ▬▬▬ real life

TYRA LOOKED DOWN at her phone checking the time. She was more then thrilled to meet her father and stepmother. She knew that this life would change her and she wasn't expecting it to change drastically.

Her father had texted her and told her that they would be there to pick her up from the airport but it seemed as though they were late to pick her up. Looking down at her phone she checked the time again, still wondering where her father was.

"Tyra!" A voice called out from the distance.

Tyra looked up and watched as her father pulled the car over towards her. A small smile appeared on her face, slowly she started to move towards the car as she watched her father and step mother get out if the car. She walked towards them as they came to a stop next to each other.

"It's good to finally meet you, Josh has non stop been talking about your arrival." Fergie said as she pulled the girl into a hug. Tyra smiled slightly not sure how to feel about her step mother.

"It's nice to meet you too." Tyra said as she pulled back from the hug. Josh smiled at the interaction that was happening.

"So, what should I call you, since your my step mom?" Tyra asked her.

"Just call me Fergie or you can call me by my real name which is Stacy. Which ever you prefer is fine with me." She said looking at the girl. Tyra nodded her head in response and walked over to her father looking at him.

"I'm sorry about your mom Tyra." Josh said looking at his daughter waiting for a response.

"It's okay. I miss her a lot but I'm here with you now so that can ease the pain a little bit." Tyra explained.

"Well, I'm glad to hear that. Let's get you home." Josh said grabbing some of her bags.

Tyra could feel the awkwardness her father was showing. But none the less she shrugged it off and followed after her father and step mother. Making their way over to the car Josh opened the trunk, placing the bags in the back followed by Tyra doing the same thing.

Once all the bags were in the car Tyra walked to the other side following Fergie who got into the passenger seat. Tyra opened the door climbing into the back. Once it she shut the door behind her buckling herself up as well. A few seconds later she watched as her father climbed into the car buckling himself and pulling away from the airport heading back to their home, Tyra's new home.
