The day is October 30th 2018, the day is a chilly one at that, there being a crisp wind making any unprepared travellers shiver in regret, fortunately for you, you made sure to prepare for leaving your house today if not over preparing for the weather. You see as at this moment in time you were wearing a pair of thermal jeans, a shirt, sweater, scarf, gloves, hat and if course your biggest warmest coat. The reason was due to the fact that you were going to stay and sleep at an old manor at the edge of town, the reason you were doing this was for a bet that one of your friends made saying that if you stayed there a night, alone that you would earn $100 dollars. He even said that if you wanna stay more nights then you could to earn more money.
The thing is he never told you about the rumours or the reason it was abandoned, you had the sense to research the building and its history and too put it nicely it was not pleasant, multiple cases of mauling and manslaughter without a suspect or knowing of what or who did it. After the first cases in 1600's it was abandoned and kept under secure lock, and over the years it's been passed around companies as just owning that place caused bad luck. The only reason you have access to this place is due to your friend's father owning the current company that owns the manor.
To be honest saying that you were scared would be an understatement as you we're beyond petrified, you slowly make you way through the town on the chilly day to the monolith of murder
