The sun was shining like nothing else in this world, everything was so bright and beautiful. The warm breeze that brushed past everything in its path. The bees humming, birds chirping.
One or two puffy clouds on the vast blue sky. Different shades of green covered the surroundings, the green grass that swayed along with the breeze, the beautiful flowers in many shapes, colors, and sizes.
A beautiful meadow that was untouched by man, it was pure and beautiful, nothing polluting or bad. Different kinds of butterflies were flying freely, without being scared for their lives. Insects, humans disgrace as disgusting were flying and crawling freely, without fearing being squashed.
This was a beautiful sight indeed, nothing was ruined by human greed, everything was pure and beautiful, not yet tainted by selfish and idiotic beings called humans.
May this meadow, never be found by humans…
Present time hana’s pov
I hate this world so so soooo much, correction, I hate HUMANS so so soooo much!
Why? ‘cause humans are ruining the world like it’s absolutely nothing, and they’re too dense to see what they’re doing!
Okay before I begin to ramble on and on let me first introduce myself!
Hey my name’s hana hotaru! It means flower, firefly! Thus my nick name fire flower! I'm an 18 year old struggling through life. I have a mother and a older sister. My sister is happily married and is living with her loving family. Me and mom live near a mountain area where there aren’t many humans or vehicles.
Me and mom both love the great outdoors! We’d choose a jungle over the busy city any day. We’re both people who appreciate nature’s gifts and love to enjoy silence while watching nature. Most teens in the 21st century aren't like me so I get bullied a lot. Haha…
But that’s nothing I can’t handle really, I don’t give a fudge about what other thinks or do, I just have my own beliefs and opinions with which I’d like to live with. I’m never one to blindly follow the trend or anything others say. I do and live how I want, I don’t believe everything that’s being shoved into our brains.
Humans have a brains so I’m using mine and doing what I think is right!
Right now I’m washing the dishes, I don’t really have any other option but to do a lot of part time jobs. Mom can’t work so I’m left to fend for the both of us. But I’m not complaining I love to work!
Especially, if it will make my mother’s life better!
‘’ Hana dear, you can go home early today, isn’t it your mother’s birthday today? ‘’
My eyes widened,
‘’ OH MY GOD I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT IT! ‘’
My manager chuckled.
‘’ well why don’t you go home now huh? ‘’
I nodded eagerly.
‘’ oh god I haven’t even gotten her any present! ‘’
‘’ don’t worry you can take anything you want from the café. You don’t have to pay it’s on the house bye! ‘’
Relief washed over me.
‘’ oh god thank you so much miss! ‘’
I quickly ran and changed my working outfit to my regular one and dashed to the front of the café where my manager was already waiting for me.
‘’ so what do you want? ‘’
I quickly asked for my mother’s favorite chocolate and blueberry cake and thanked my manager.
‘’ here, this is from the staff. ‘’
She handed me another bag and I looked inside to see, one of each bag. My eyes tear up.
‘’ oh gosh thank you so much guys, I don’t even know what to say. ‘’
‘’ hey don’t be like that. you always give this café your all. This is the least we can do. ‘’
I just smiled, I didn’t have anything to say, I was speechless by their kindness.
‘’ thank you so much! ‘’
‘’ okay, now go home your mom must be waiting. ‘’
I nodded and bowed one last time to show my gratitude before running away.
‘’ this is gonna be the best birthday for mom since sis married! ‘’
Eagerly I ran through the side walk and ran to the cross road, I was so excited and eager to get home to my mother, I didn’t see the red street light, nor did I see the zooming truck.
By the time I did…
It was too late…
I stared at the pitch black sky with small twinkling stars here and there, the petals from the cherry tree were flying everywhere by the sudden gust of wind. Petals scatter around me as I felt my lungs getting heavy, making it hard to breath resulting in me wheezing for air.
‘’ m-mom… ‘’
That was it…
I died…
I didn’t think I would die at this young age but… here I am… now a wondering ghost! I heard many things about what will happen when a person dies, but I never believed in anything. But now that I’m a ghost I’m starting to doubt my own self.
Some say when you die your soul still lingers, that person had some unfinished business. Until he or she completes the incomplete, they will be stuck as ghosts. However, a ghost can only stay pure and harmless until up to 3 years.
After three years end… the spirit becomes a tainted soul, a restless spirit seeking revenge and harming humans. A bad spirit…
So… what will happen to me… specially when I have absolutely no idea what I left incomplete?... was it my mother’s birthday?
Or is it something else?
No one knows and I for one, am complete lost.A/N hello! This is the prologue for "life" I hope you like it and please do comment about anything i should change and vote if you think this is worthy! I hope you enjoy~
