Harry watched as Marian grabbed her purse and looked out the window to see if her Uber was there yet.

"Love," he said also pleading with her. "Are you sure I can't drive you to town to go shopping?" He asked. "We can take Faith. Make a day of it," he said. "Or Kaia could come pick you up. I'm sure she's not busy. Let me call her," he said and pulled out his phone.

Marian looked over at Harry giving him her big eyes.  "Harry, I need to know that I can do something by myself alone, please," she said now pleading with him.  "I don't want anyone hovering over me. I need time to be alone with my thoughts and not have to worry about anyone or anything for a couple of hours. Please."

He sighed and put his phone back in his pocket and walked over to her. He gently placed his hands on her arms. "I know," he said gently. "I'm sorry, love. I'm trying not to hover and give you space, but...but ...God I'm such a shit at this."

"I will be okay, I promise." She said and leaned over and kissed him.  "I love you and don't worry about me okay? I will call you if I have problems breathing or anything. I swear."

"You promise you will?" He asked as he pulled her into his arms.

"I promise," she Smiled at him and heard her Uber honk its horn.  "I will be back in a couple of hours."

He kissed her again and walked her to the car. "I love you."

"I know," she smiled and blew him a kiss. "Take care of Faith Amelia for me."

"Always," He said and waved as the car pulled away. He went inside only after he couldn't see the car anymore. He went up to Faith's room and leaned over the side of her crib and watched her sleep and wiped away his tears. "Oh little girl, what are we going to do," he whispered before heading back downstairs and waited anxiously for Marian to come home.

The uber didn't take long for her to get to Dr. Johnson's office. She checked in with the receptionist and waited to be called.  She played on her phone scrolling through her photos of her kids.

"Mrs. Styles," the nurse opened the door. "Please come back." She said with a small smile.

Marian put her phone away and followed the nurse back into the patient office.  She smiled as the nurse took her vitals and asked her the normal doctor visit questions.

"We were surprised to see you had made an appointment," Nurse Smythe said. "You weren't due for your next one for two weeks yet."

"I wanted to talk to the doctor about my conditions without my husband hovering over me. Or dictating what the doctor tells me."

Nurse Smythe gave her a small smile. She knew what Marian's prognosis was. And it was very grim. "Your husband is one of the most caring people I have ever met," she said.

"Yes, that is very true. But sometimes he goes to far trying to protect those he loves from bad news. Uncomfortable things.  It's something that used to drive me insane. He wants everything to be sunshine and roses, even when I say I like dark things sometimes."

Nurse Smythe nodded and picked up the file. "Dr. Johnson will be in shortly," she said and left Marian alone.

"Thanks," Marian said.

Dr. Johnson looked over Marian's vitals that the nurse had taken and everything seemed to be within as normal of a range as it could be. He had a feeling she was going to come on her own sooner than later.  He read over the test results from the previous week that he'd ordered once again before knocking on the door.
