Lewis found himself disheartened. She had a boyfriend and thats why she wasn't coming. He felt bad for hoping this but he hoped this man couldn't make things right. He hoped she didn't forgive this mistake. Not just for Lewis' selfish reasons but because it sounded like this man had hurt her and he didn't like the thought of her being hurt or being hurt again.
