He throws my things out the door. I refuse to leave, he has no right to treat me like I'm nothing. I grew up in this house. I looked at him "Dad you can't kick me out I am simply a girl." Along side that came all my attitude. "I am over it Claire." he said, at this point I was pissed. "John listen here I am only 16, I just got my license and mom is dead!" I pause as he states blankly at me "where do you expect me to go!?!?" He just sits and stares at me finally he said "How dare you raise your voice at me" wow he looked more angry than I have ever seen him. "Why?" I asked "Why can't I speak to you the way I chose? If I am old enough as you say to live on my own I should be allowed to speak on my own." I said eyeballing him carefully.
"See you have not cared about me since you and the witch got together!" This I had yelled furiously at him. He gave me a look that said trouble "That witch is your mother!" He was turning red in the face "She practically raised you!" with this he pointed at Sophia. I looked at her she was bawling her eyes out. I honestly couldn't care less. "No she has not, if she actually cared about me she would never let you throw me away like a bag of trash."
All of the sudden a sharp pain shoots through my cheek. I lift my hand up and touch the sore spot where his hand had stricken me for the first time. He has ignored me, screamed at me, and left mental scars. Although never until this point has he ever hit me. That was the very last straw.
Then I felt tears overwhelm my eyes. I start to run out the door but he grabbed my arm with a lot of force. I look at his hand and with a strong jolt pull away. I ran out the door and I came upon the bags he had thrown out, there were three of them. A backpack, a roller, and a duffle bag. I grab them and I walked for about an hour before finally sitting on a swing nearby and taking a rest.
