*Matt's P.O.V.*
She had been away for a while and I began to worry. "Hey, you okay in there?," I asked, rapping on the door gently. I heard her begin to mumble from the opposite side of the door and furrowed by brows. "Can you open the door, love?" Soon after I asked, I heard the door begin to move and she peeked around the side of it, her eyes slightly watery and red. Immediately I tensed and leaned toward her, "Please let me in," I pleaded. She seemingly deliberated slightly before opening up the door just enough for me to slide through it and closed the door behind me immediately. I cupped her face very gently between my hands and tilted her face to look up at mine. "Baby, what's wrong?," I whispered. "Kai reported me missing...," she replied quietly. I narrowed my eyes and clenched my jaw. "What?," I growled lowly. She nodded and sniffled softly, "I'm so confused. Does this mean he loves me? Does he really care?" Immediately I replied, "No, Kennedi, you are not going back to him. Not after all the hurt he has caused you both mentally and physically. I don't care if you think he treated you the way he did because he loved you. I won't let you live like that again." She stared up at me, eyes wide, her eyes tearing up again. In that same breath, she shoved me aside and bolted through the door. "Wait, Kennedi!," I called, reacting too slowly. By then she was gone.

*Jimmy's P.O.V.*
"What the fuck do you mean he reported her missing?," I yelled, my body shaking as I listened to Matt explain what happened to Kennedi. "He doesn't love her, I doubt he ever did, but he wants her back? This is beyond ridiculous..."
"You don't think I know that? That's what I was trying to explain to her before she bolted on me. I have to find her. I don't want her to get hurt or going back to Kai. Nothing about their relationship was healthy or loving. Hers and mine is, I love her, Jimmy. I just want to protect her, that's all," Matt said, trying to keep himself calm during the discussion. A discussion which was actually made up of him and I yelling at each other because neither of us knew what to do about finding Kennedi.
"I don't even know where to start, man. Where the hell would she go?," I questioned. Matt shook his head and ran his fingers through his hair in frustration.
"Do we call the cops?," he asked. "Are you actually stupid?," I asked. "She was just reported missing and found like 20 minutes ago, like that will go over well. They'll be so helpful," I stated sarcastically.
We stood alert at the sound of the rustling at the door, Matt almost ran to the door- wanting so badly for it to be Kennedi. I followed not far behind him, wanting her back almost as bad if not just as much. She was one of my best friends now, the only woman I had ever met that would understand me as I needed to be. She didn't fault me and that's what I appreciated so much about her.
However, who walked through the door was definitely not who we had expected...
