Samael's POV
Searching. That's all I've been doing since she left. Since she left our realm. Our kingdom. Me.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I tie my bag onto the back of my Ducati ready to head down to my uncle's bar in Devon. Uncle Henry runs a side business well more of an underground one as well and says that he would like to team me up with his best employee who works at both of his businesses. I'm not bothered about leaving this place cause I won't miss this place it doesn't mean anything, not without her.
6 hours later...
I had just arrived in Devon and was traveling down one of the country roads so that I could get to my Uncle's bar quicker, however, as I was riding down the road my bike decided that it would start losing speed and making unhealthy noises. I had managed to pull my bike over to the side of the road before I had to push it off the road but, just as I had gotten off my bike and started to relax against it I heard someone call out to me in the most enchanting voice, it was a voice I had missed, a voice I craved to call out my name again in a gentle caress in the early morning, it was her voice;
"You having some trouble there?" I looked up at who the voice belonged to and immediately recognised the woman talking to me as her, the woman I have been missing, my love...
She looked at me, with those piercing golden eyes of hers no signs of recognition on her face. A blank canvas.
'Does she not remember me?!'
Snapping out of my thoughts I noticed her eyes were no longer on my face but studying me closely with curiosity and a hint of wariness in her beautiful eyes.
Realising I hadn't yet replied to her original question I casually stated: "Yeah I am. My bike broke down and I don't know where the nearest garage is." I noticed she shivered a little as I spoke, I'm glad to see I still affect her in the familiar way of our time together in the past.
"Hold on if we put some of the seats down in my car your bike will fit and I'll take you to Gary's, alright?" She asked me whilst turning off her engine and then climbing out of her car. I started walking round to the back of her car meeting her there, where I got a full look at her. Her hair was a rich brown with many different shades flowing throughout including some dark blondes, her figure was curvy whilst her physique was slim, enhancing her other assets.
After admiring her I realised she had just offered what she thought was a stranger a lift. So I cautiously replied: "If you're sure you don't mind, a lift would be great...uh...?" I added not sure what she may call herself now.
"Averna. And you?" she replied.
"Samael. But you can call me Sam." I answered. she looked at me strangely as if she was caught off guard by my original name. This look however passed as quickly as it came.
"Okay then Sam, so why don't you start rolling your bike over here and I'll get these seats down?" she asked in what seemed a questioning like manner but you could hear the demand in her voice, "Okay" I answered but smiling as I walked over to my bike realising that her habit of ordering others around hadn't gone anywhere since she left.
Once my bike is in the boot of her car and the door is shut she turns to me and says, "Alright, now that's taken care of let's get you to Gary's. Just hop into the passenger seat and we can go."
As I open the passenger side door and get in I notice that Averna has turned around in her seat and reaching behind my chair before I can ask her what she's doing she says;
"Aurora, sweetie you need to wake up we're almost home." Once she says this she seems to wait for something, probably the child to fully wake up before turning back around and putting her seat belt on.
After about 10 minutes of driving in silence with only the radio playing quietly my curiosity about the child, Aurora, got the better of me, "So is she yours or...?" I asked Averna silently dreading the answer because although I am aware that we have been apart from each other for a long time and it seems that she doesn't remember me I still wish for her to only carry my children. But I know that if she has a child with another then I would accept that child as my own when I win her back.
"That's Aurora and she's my sister, but I've raised her and I treat and love her as if she were my own. Just like with all my siblings." She answers, her voice filled with protectiveness and motherly love over her 'siblings' as she calls them, although we both know they are not of her blood. I felt her gaze on me after answering so I kept my face blank, so she couldn't analyze me.
Realizing she said 'siblings', I ask my next question "Oh...so how many siblings do you have?" I see her scrunch her face up after hearing my question probably wondering why I'm asking her these questions.
"Five, Aurora's the youngest. What about you - any siblings?" Averna responds quickly and matter-of-factly, yet I feel like she's hiding something which is reasonable. I have a feeling she has a child which is why she stopped so sharply after stating that Aurora was her youngest sibling.
Answering truthfully before she got suspicious, I said: " I have three siblings - one older than me, the other two younger than me." I decided to leave out that none of those siblings were breathing as that was a topic for another time. Seeing her small nod of satisfaction at my answer I heard her small intake of breath before she started asking me more questions on the way to 'Gary's Garage'.
(Author's Note: Sorry this chapter took so long just wasn't too sure how to make him sound like a decent man as most of the men in my life are absolute d**kheads.)
