Beyond The Mist

Let me explain

The world works in a mystical way. So much so simple humans dont have the capability to handle the truths of the world. Im not sure if this is even legal but im going to try to break it down in the simplist way I can. Just bare with me as I tell you this, there is some things that is beyond the human eye. There are many diffrent groups of creatures.

The fairy for example, A small winged creature that looks human correct? simple right? Wrong, a fairy is a group that breaks down in many branches, Pixies, Elfs, Brownies, Asrai, Wisp, Leprechauns, and even Mermaids/Mermen and Banshee are included into this group.

But the most important group in this story is the demonic group, as you know it the demon. Also not simple by the way, some Demons can be seen by the humans others cant, but the ones that can know better than to let the humans know of the existance of their species. There are alot of demon branches such as Bajang, Incubus, Familiar, Jinn, Gorgon, Imp, Cambion, Nickar, and the main creature of this whole story The Counters. Sounds scary right? No? Well let me explain.

For every human there is a Counter. What the measly human dosent know is that they only have a limited number of heart beats and it is the Counters job to keep up with it. They know when you are going to die, but not how, and here is the cool part. If you somehow get your Counter to stop counting then you cant die.

See why humans cant know about this? they would dedicate their lives to the impossible, like trying to stop all cats from slowly pushing things into the floor all the while not breaking eye contact it... it's just not going to happen...

Then there are some humans that are just meant to know. Like me not to brag or anything but im just I don't know... better than most people. Not to be a narcissist or anything... well maybe a bit but what's wrong with being a little bit of a narcissist sometimes? Nothing! Well anyways let me explain that to.

Unlike most humans I was born with something called a third eye. No I dont have a literal third eye on my forhead. It allows me to see what others cant, past the 'mist'. The mist is kinda like a 4th wall and those with a third eye can break it. That sounds cool untill your talking to a spirit thinking its a human and become the school freak. Dont ask.

Another fun fact is that if a creature from the ghost group is strong enough it can cross the mist to and become visible and sometimes even touch or throw things on the human side. And there are some humans with a third eye that is only strong enough to see into part of the mist most of the time its the ghost group.

Now before you think this is boring and click out just know I wanted to get this stuff out of the way. If I jump right into the story you wouldn't understand now would you. Which leads me to the next subject. Have you ever wondered why you can't find the bones of mythical creatures if they really exist? Well the answer is simple. For a unicorn it's horn crumbles into dust once it dies and leaves a simple horse skeleton. A dragon, its wings will also turn to dust leaving behind what yall call dinosaurs. Same thing for a lot of creatures most of the fairy group will look like human skeletons. Others just turn to dust bone and all.

Next time I right I will start from the beginning. How I learned everything i'm telling you and such. But for now I think i'll just give you a few more fun facts to make this chapter a little longer. And I might add a few descriptions and facts about the creatures I told you about earlier.

Fun Fact: Spiders are a branch of the arachne group just more common and aren't covered by the mist.

Brownies: They are kind species of fairie that can only be seen by people with a third eye. They help sick and old people. They offer household services in exchange for Honey and bread. They have the power to change their form and usually take form as a farm or domestic animal.

Cambion: They are the child of a Human, a succubus and a Incubus. They are born without a heartbeat or a breath. They remain looking human until around seven years old, at that age they show their demon forms.
