I opened my heavy eyelids a crack to see what was going on. I could only see a bright room around me. Sirens going off in the distance, people running through the hallways.

Where am I?

But most importantly, who am I?

People dressed in white ran towards me asking and telling me things that I couldn't hear, or understand.

What is going on?

I tried to speak but no words left my dry mouth, just my breath.

Who are these people?

So many questions I needed to know the answer to, but no answers would come. My vision was blurred, my voice lost, my body numb not bothering to move. Two white figures moved the bed I was on to a different room.

A pale man waved at me, giving me signals that I couldn't understand. My ears ringed but I still couldn't hear anything.

Why can't I hear?

The man took some pieces of paper from his wooden desk beside him and showed me. The words just looked like a blob of black, the white paper around it camoflauging into the white walls.

What is this?

My body felt unusual, a tingling feeling coming from my head. It felt as if I don't know anything, no memory of anything. Soon, my vision returned and my ears stopped ringing. My voice, still quiet, showed some improvement.

"Hi, I'm Dr. Rob." the man said, holding his hand out for me to shake. My hand hesitated to shake for some reason, but I couldn't quite put my hands on it.

"I'm here to help you." Dr.Rob said nicely.

"With what?" I snapped back a little angry for some reason.

"I'm just gonna run some tests here, and see what you remember. It's not gonna take long." he said, calming me down.

I studied his face for any hints, but he showed no expression. He wrote something in his clipboard and started asking me questions.

"Whats your name and birthday?" Dr.R said simply.

I couldn't remember anything, not even a bit. My name, birthday, age, and nothing from my past.

What was this?

"...I..I don't know.." My voice shook a little saying this, kind of scared I guess.

But of what?

"Ah, just what I thought." Dr.R said scribbling something down again. "How about your childhood?"

I thought about it a little, then shook my head. I couldn't remember anything.

"I'm gonna put this nicely, so don't freak out okay?" Dr.R said calmly, but looked dead serious towards me.

I nodded, wondering what he was gonna say.

"You, lost your memory in an accident." He seemed a little I don't know, weird about it. Something in his voice just sounded weird.

My eyes widened but not so suprised since I kind of figured it out cause I can't remember anything. But me being in an accident was definitely big news to me.

What had happened?

And how?

Everything seemed like a mystery, a new one coming along every time I meet a new person.

"Were going to have to do some more research to see what would help you, and everything else." Dr.R said, stacking up all his papers and turning towards the desk with his computer chair.

So I figured a few things out. One, I lost my memory in an accident, Two, I am in a hospital right now, Three, they are gonna have to do some tests and research, and Four, wait I only have 3. Everything seemed okay then but I didn't think that some of the people I learned to trust after the accident was all bad people. That assured me that I can't trust anyone, not even someone who has been so nice and caring. Not even the guy who saids he's my boyfriend. No one.

I was rolled into a different room now, by the two figures from before. One had a name tag that saids "Lia Shanton", around 20 years old I guessed and seemed very polite. The other one had a clip name tag on her pocket that saids "Sun Kim Lee", although she looked somewhat familiar.

How do I know her?

I questioned myself, but that obviousely won't work cause guess what? You can't remember anything if you lost your memory! I know, shocking right?

Sun Kim Lee...Sun Kim.....Lee...Sun..Kim...Kim Leason!!! I know that name! That's why she has a little english accent.

She's not chinese, not even close. She's hiding something else too though. I can feel it in my gut. But what could it be?

My first day conscious was filled with questions. But it whipped by quickly bringing me to the next day.

The birds chirped, the sun shown, and morning has finally come. No. This is not a fairytale. Anyway moving on, I thought that things could only get better from here. But again, I was wrong.

"Hi, were here to do some more tests. I'm Ruth, a professor here at the Institute of Medical Performance And Studies. I heard you did some tests with Dr.Rob yesterday, am I correct?" Ruth kindly said, beaming at me.

Why does she seem so happy?

"...Ya.." I said quietly, almost close to a whisper.

"Well I'm here to help you regain your memory and know more about you." Ruth enthusiastically said to me beaming even more towards me.

"How are you going to know mo-" I asked, getting interuppted halfway through."

"We don't exactly know who you are. We found you..on the middle of the road in the countryside of Chilliwack. You had a few..injuries so we got the police's permission to bring you here to regain your health and help you get your memory back." Ruth was now frowning a little, her smile from before fading away.

On the middle of the road in the countryside of Chilliwack??

What the heck was I doing there?

What injuries? I don't have any injuries!

Wait a second, why did Ruth pause before saying "on the middle of the road" and "injuries"? She looked like she was thinking of what to say next.

Was she telling the truth?

But the string of lies have just started, and there are going to be many more to come from everyone.
