Chapter One: My Birthday

**Juliana's POV**

My alarm woke me up singing Shawn Mendes' new song Show You. I rolled out of bed and walked into the bathroom to take a much needed morning shower.

After my shower, I plugged in my hair straightener. As it was warming up, I headed to my room to check all my social media before picking out my outfit.

Today I felt like looking some what reasonable, so I picked out a flowy, floral tank top, paired with my ripped, rolled up, American Eagle jeans , a knee length, beige cardigan and my Sperry's.

As soon as I was dressed, I walked into my bathroom to straighten my hair and apply the tinniest bit of makeup, since it was my birthday!

I walked downstairs to find my mom, dad, and little brother Jordan standing in the kitchen. When I walked into the kitchen they all yelled "HAPPY 16th BIRTHDAY JU". Ju is my nickname that almost everybody called me. It was more like my name, than a nickname you could say.

I ran up and hugged then all! As we finished our family hug, Jordan handed me a small, purple box, with a polka dot bow on it. There's was little tag on the ribbon that said,

"Ju, this box might not look like it holds what you've wanted, but take a look, because we have a feeling that our family knows you very well! :)" it was signed by my whole entire family! Even my second Aunts and Uncles!

As I united the bow, I gave my family a huge smile before lifting the lid of the box off. I looked inside the box and found a limited edition pair of Nike Hyper Elite Basketball Socks! I jumped up and down about a million times, before thanking my family.

When I finished thanking them, they told me that the socks were form Jordan and that there was something else in the box. I picked up the box and noticed that there was a little piece of paper, hiding the next gift. The paper had a little note that read,

"Ju, I know that the next two gifts might seem a bit much, but we really wanted to congratulate you on making Nationals in Basketball! Your next gift won't look like it means anything to Basketball, but if you really like Basketball, then you'll check inside where the gift leads."

At this point I probably looked really confused. Which I was. As I lifted up the piece of paper, I saw keys. Not just any keys, I saw CAR KEYS! I lifted them out of the box and looked at my parents. "Ju" my mom said, "Why don't you take a look in the driveway" she finished with a smile on her face.

I walked out the front door and saw...
