BOOK TITLE: Monster
TITLE IDEA FROM: A song called Monster, by the band Starset
SUMMARY: In a war - ridden society, soldiers are chosen as children and operated on, to make little more than heartless machines covered in human skin. They are trained in fatal combat from the moment they turn 6, and by the time they turn 10 the practice weapons become real. They have to learn fast, or they will be killed in their training alone. They bunk with the people they will be in a squad with, are forced to shower with them, all to make them closer than siblings. This is the story of a small boy from the ghostly remains of the once spectacular New York City, and his struggles with the corrupt program that has ruined his life.
