Mahesh Bhatt celebrated his 70th birthday on 20th September. The day was special as he announced that he will be returning as a director with Sadak2, a sequel to his 1991 hit film,Sadak, which starred his elder daughter, Pooja Bhatt.

Sadak 2 will star his younger daughter Alia Bhatt along with Pooja Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapoor.
Mahesh Bhatt has directed hit films of different genres like Arth(1982), Saraansh(1984), Naam(1986), Aashiqui(1990), Dil hai ki manta nahi(1991), Sadak(1991). Kartoos(1999) was his last film as a director.
His wife Soni Razdan tweeted this~ “Happy Birthday to the champion of my life. Can’t imagine what life would be without you. So here’s wishing you many more to come. May you have the best year ever. This pic says it all”
