You slowly come back to consciousness, opening your eyes. You're still groggy and are unaware as to why you still can't see despite your eyes being open. Panic hasn't set in yet as you wake up.
Suddenly, you feel a hand on each thigh gripping them tightly. You shiver at the sensation and fully wake up. Your adrenaline begins to pump into your system. Your mouth is covered with duct tape.
"Wakey wakey," a male voice says quietly before your blindfold is removed. A man is crouched before you, his face masked. the mask had a large smile across it, with wide eyes. It wasn't very scary or intimidating and you found it cliché.
"Have you slept well? You should have considering what I gave you." He chuckles to himself as if he just told a joke. You didn't find this funny at all, realizing that you'd been drugged at the club you were in. You don't remember much. Blinking several times, you look up at his masked face.
"Oh, this?" he runs a finger down the edge of the mask.
"Usually to protect my identity, but I don't think it's necessary tonight, right?" he nods, you can hear his smile in his words. He takes his palm and places it on your knee, gradually sliding it up your leg.
"Would you like me to take it off? It will make this a lot more... personal." His other hand moves to the chin of the mask as he lifts it off his face. Your chest gets tight when you see his grin, and sly eyes. Memories from the night before flood your mind.
"Yeah, of course!" you say in response to the man you met a few minutes ago offering to buy you a drink. Why would you turn down something free? He orders it from the bartender and crosses his arms against his chest. He wasn't the most social person and it was clear by the way he spoke.
"My name is Sin- well, Sinhalite. But call me Sin." his fingers dug into his arms as he spoke through his teeth, clearly uncomfortable.
"Nice to meet you, I've never seen you here. I'll be right back, okay? I need to go to the bathroom." You pardon yourself, rushing to the bathroom, your bladder full of all the drinks you had that night.
As soon as you get back to your seat, he seems to have loosened up a bit, but every time the DJ would speak, you could visually see him become uncomfortable.
"So, Sin? like... religious sin? Kill someone and that's sin kind of sin? Lie to someone kind of sin?" you continue to list off well known forms of biblical sin.
"Actually, I was named after the rare crystal sinhalite. I just prefer being called Sin because most people pronounce the full name wrong anyway." he smiles and pushes the drink he'd bought towards you.
"Oh, right, thanks! Sorry if that was offensive, the whole religious thing. I was curious." you take several sips of the drink. it was a fairly feminine drink, he must've taken you as feminine.
"Not at all, I don't care. It would be a cooler meaning if it were that anyway. Do you like animals?" he blurts out and you assume this it to change the subject from his name.
"Yeah, I love animals. Do you like... men?" you say grinning, leaning back in your seat. You have had several drinks and were beginning to feel it.
"I wouldn't be talking to you if I weren't into guys, " he snickers at your question and stands up before continuing, "Do you want to head home with me?"
"Fuck it, let's go! I haven't done something like this in forever!" You get up excited, but nearly stumble over. The alcohol must have really hit you hard all of a sudden because you begin fading in and out of consciousness. You remember sin throwing your arm over his shoulders and guiding you out to his car before putting you in the passenger seat. He obviously wasn't concerned about being gentle either. Getting into the driver's seat, he shuts the door and stares in your direction. His whole stature seemed to have changed. You get an extremely bad feeling and reach for the door handle. The door handle on the passenger side is gone and the door is locked, with no visible way of unlocking it. You turn back to sin and before you can slur any words out, he punches you in the face, knocking you unconscious. You begin to squirm furiously, trying to get his hand off your thigh. You curse at him through the duct tape which sounds like nothing to him.
"Woah, why are you so upset now? You didn't seem to mind in the car." His grin widens as he holds your kicking legs down, your arms tied to the pole behind you squirm aimlessly. You put one and two together and realize he did something unspeakable to your unconscious body. You fill with anger and kick him in the stomach, causing him to double over. His grin disappears.
"How... DARE you...? I bring you into my home- I chose YOU out of everyone and this is how you treat me?" He gets onto his feet, standing tall and looming over you. You watch his fists tighten up before he kicks your leg. Your muffled yelps aren't heard by sin. He kicks you again, harder. Each time, you feel the steel toe of the boot digging into you. Tears well up in your eyes as he finishes, bruises already forming on your legs. You sit there, silently sobbing with fear in your eyes.
"It's so obvious you're the type that pretends to not care, that pretends to be fearless. I can see all of the fear coming out. Nobody likes arrogance," he goes on, fists unclenched as he returns to his crouching position, "Arrogance is weakness."
You pull your legs up to your chest, your quiet whimpers finally heard by him.
"Why are you crying?" he moves closer, leaning in. Reaching out to your face, his thumb brushes away your tears. Sin avoids making eye contact as he licks his finger. His tongue runs across his top lip as he looks up at you momentarily. You feel your body tense up and try to move away from him in a panic, forgetting how immobile you are.
"Stop that. Stop it." Sin grabs your shoulders firmly. This action makes you feel secure for some reason. Your uncontrollable shaking comes to a stop. He takes a second to make eye contact with you before clearly looking behind you.
"Do you want me to take the duct tape off?" He waits for you to nod before speaking, "You won't scream, right? This room is soundproof, I just don't like the ones that scream."
He slowly peels the tape off and you flinch from the sting. You try to take deep breaths and his eyes return to look at your own. Maybe you are hoping for the best, but you could swear you saw a glimpse of compassion in his eyes. He sits there, waiting for something unknown.
"...You have nothing to say?" Sin tilts his head before slapping your thigh.
"TALK." He demands and waits. You stay silent, speechless and unsure of what to say or do.
