THE BASICS
My name is Jayden Mathews and I believe God made two types of people. There are the glass and the diamonds, I am glass. I live in Silver Falls, Colorado. It's a small town with a population of 630 people. I'm eighteen and I go to Winter Leaves High. But the worst part besides this horrid town, is that I'm sick. Yep, a brain tumor. I've been like this since I was eight years old. Taking it ''EASY'' has been a very slow process. I have two siblings, a brother and sister, but just my mom. The whole my-dad-left situation is, how do I say it, complicated.
School has always been hard, making friends is not easy when the kids in class hate you because the teachers let you sit out of everything. When I say everything that's what I mean: my mom didn't let me do anything. But whatever, I'm over it, being bullied over not wanting to die my whole life was an uneventful period. When high school came around, I became someone that no one saw.
Basically a mute loner (I don't speak in class and the teachers don't call). I think the last time I talked to someone was freshman year and it went down like this. 1) I made friends. 2) We hung out. 3) We got close. 4) I told my friends about my illness. 5) They stopped hanging around me. 6) I stopped socializing and talking (being popular was never my thing anyway). I think life is stupid nowadays, I mean who knows how long I'll live. AT LEAST THAT'S HOW I FELT UNTIL I MET HER.
