I woke up on the grumpy side of the bed today. I had slept on my arm during the night, so it hurt like Hades. Grumbling as I got out of bed, I walked over to my drawer and put on some simple clothes. When I was done, I walked to the Dining Pavilion to get some breakfast. Jason waved at me, and I smiled back, thinking this day would be great. What could possibly go wrong? The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and there was a light happy atmosphere all around Camp Half-Blood. But i had no idea what was to come that day. I took my usual lessons, Pegasus riding, Arts & Crafts, and Sword Fighting. Next on my list was Archery. I walked to the woods and found the archery range. Seeing that I was the first one there, I sat down on a log and waited for the others. There was a rustle in the leaves, and I chose to ignore it at first, thinking it was just the wind. Then I heard a couple of giggles, and a lovey tone talking to someone else. The voices sounded like a girl and a boy. Weird, I thought. The boys voice kind of sounded like Jason's...I tip-toed quietly to where the sounds were coming from, and saw something I thought I would only see in a nightmare. It was Jason, with his arms wrapped around Reyna's torso, and her arms wrapped around his neck. I felt like a trespasser, but I was frozen in shock, so I couldn't move. Jason was leaning down, seeing as he was taller than Reyna, and they were kissing. Every once in a while they would pull away from each other, and giggle. I clasped my hand over my mouth, and my face scrunched up. A single tear flowed freely down my
cheek. I tried to back away as quietly as possible, but the stupid crunchy leaves under my feet made that impossible. As I was walking away slowly, there was a *crunch* sound. Stupid leaves. Jason and Reyna both turned, curious as to what had made the sound.Jason
I turned to see an angry pair of multi-colored eyes against a tan skin, and immediately recognized the girl as Piper. "Piper I can expla-" I started, but she just cut me off. "Jason" Piper said, with a wavering voice. "I am a daughter of Aphrodite, and I know love, and cheating, when I see it." She spoke cruel like. She took a deep breathe, probably to keep calm. "Jason" Piper said again, this time venom lacing through her words. "You were cheating on me." She turned and crossed her arms. "Jason Grace, you are a player, and a jerk, and if I haven't already made it clear, we are done." This time she started to cry. She started to walk away, but I grabbed her wrist. Piper just got an angry look on her face and yanked her hand away from my grasp, and started to walk away again. Reyna gave her a smug look, and Piper started running faster.

I felt like I was going to throw up. My heart felt like it was literally getting ripped in half, my throat felt like it was gonna go into my brain, and my stomach felt like it was gonna fall out my butt. I suddenly got so angry, I made an earthquake happen. I wasn't a daughter of Poseidon, but the children of Aphrodite could also cause earthquakes if they get really mad. Like for instance, Aphrodite caused an earthquake when she lost her hair brush. But this time I didn't lose something, they lost me. After my earthquake, many things were destroyed within a 10 mile radius. I didn't feel so bad though, I was angry. I decided I just needed to go somewhere to relax for a little while, so I walked right outside the camp borders and sat down near Thalia's tree. I was met with a drakon. Great, I thought. I didn't think this day could get any worse, but it just did. I was so mad I sliced through it with no problem, and sat back down. I put my hands over my eyes, sighed, and started crying. I felt a presence a couple of minutes later, and a mans voice spoke. "Hello, Piper McLean." I looked around for the source. Finally I found it and said; "Hi...who are you?" I asked. "I am Lord Chaos" the man said. He sure did kinda look like chaos. He wore a pitch black cloak with the same colored hood covering his face. "What do you want?" I asked, curious as to why he had come here. "I help the betrayed get back up when they have fallen, I make them stronger." He spoke. That didn't sound so bad, I thought. "I am the creator of the Army of Chaos, and our army is full of people who have been betrayed somehow, and together we rise back up, and become stronger." Lord Chaos said. "Wait" I said. "How do I know your a good guy?" "Because" he said. "I help the betrayed." "I help them get back up when they feel they have no hope left, I help people get back up, and be strong." I was astounded. The way he said it sounded amazing. "But, why are you talking to me about this?" I asked, curious. "Because, you have been betrayed, and you can't see it, but you are powerful, Piper Mclean." "You are beautiful, strong, and confident." "You do what's right and help others every time you can." I blushed at all of these compliments. "You have potential, Piper McLean." Lord Chaos spoke. "You would make a great commander and chief of my army." He said. "Would you like to join the army of Chaos?" Said Chaos. "Yes, I would be glad to." I said. Lord Chaos handed me a cloak and hood similar to the one he was wearing. "But, why do we have to cover our faces?" I asked. "To hide the shame you may feel after being betrayed." "But soon, hopefully, you will be strong enough to pull the hood off, and get back up." I smiled. The day had started out terrible, but it just got so much better. It was like looking for the light switch in a dark room so you didn't step over the Legos, and finally finding it after 30 minutes of feeling all over the dark walls. I took the cloak and put it on. "Welcome, Commander Piper McLean, to the army of Chaos."
