The begining

Our family goes on a vacation together every second year during the summer brake. While we drive up to wherever we decided to go, I either listen to music or watch Netflix. Either way I have my earbuds in. While we we're almost at our destination of choice this year, we had to make an exceptionally hard stop to avoid going through the car in front of us who suddenly stopped. That's when I realized it was a mistake to be laying down in a car.

When I got up to see what was happening, all I could hear was a high pitched ringing. I looked over to my mom who was making sure my sister was okay, but when I asked what was going on, and she answered, I couldn't't hear her. I tried explaining to her that I couldn't't hear, but she just tried to make sure I wasn't't hurt in any physical way, and told me it was nothing. Dad kept on driving afterwards and nobody spoke the rest of the way to the hotel, well not that I could hear.

After we arrived at the hotel, and carried up all the bags. Mom and Dad told me that I could take out my earbuds if I wanted to. When I gave then an encouraging smile and a little head nod, they disappeared in the direction of the pool. I tried and tried but they wouldn't't come out of my ears. It was painful to move them around, and pulling them strait out hurt as well. I waddled over to the pool, following the signs of course, and found them. They we're just looking at the sauna when I broke down in tears.

I was a mess when I finally reached them. Their expressions looked very worried, and I could see their lips moving, but I couldn't't hear anything. Once they stopped moving their mouths, which I assume was when they stopped talking or asking questions, I finally told them that I couldn't't hear. They tried talking again that was useless, but then decided to write me a note on a spare napkin.

The note read:

Sweetie stay calm, it's okay. Try to remove your earbuds, maybe that's what's wrong.
