On The Run

Do you ever get the feeling that you are being watched? Like someone is stalking you and hunting you down? Well that's what I feel, except, this feeling is real.

I ran down the hallway and out the front exit of the building. The winter air was cold and windy, and the snowflakes burned my skin. I didn't know what I was doing, but I knew I had to rest. I don't think running for your life by monsters who are going to kill you after being in Acoma for five months 'good for your heath.'

I continued to run. Go to the woods. The letter said. For some reason, I listened to the note especially when it also said my life depended on it, that was kind of a page turner.

I ran down a long and narrow road which stretched as far as the eye can see. I didn't know where I was going. The pull I felt earlier, yeah it came back. So, I was followed that. I hit a dead end. The narrow road ended into trees that grow over twenty metres tall. The woods. It was dark and gloomy. I crept forward. "hello? I anyone there?" My voice echoed through the woods. "Hello, creepy person who is following my every movement and giving me creepy letter, are you in there?" All I could hear was the wind brush pass my ear and the leaves rustling through the night. Suddenly, behind me a twig snapped. I swung around to see a shadow running in the woods. My heart pounded. "Hello?" With no answer I grabbed out my dagger and held it up straight.

"Who are you?" I women's voice called out from behind me. I rotated around to see this beautiful girl about seventeen. She had long brown hair that flowed in the wind and sky-blue eyes. She wore a Demin jacket and a black singlet top. Her jeans were black and ripped and she wore the same kind of boots like me, but they were a bit faded. The only non-beautiful thing about her was that she was holding and bow and arrow right at my face. The bow was an aqua blue colour near the handle that fades in a sort of greenish yellow colour. The bow might've been made out of scales of something because it had the nice texture to it. She spoke again. "Well?"

I snapped out of my day dream and answered the mysterious girl. "I'm Rose, and who are you?"

"I ask to questions, not you." She snapped. "Why are you here?" She asked, with the bow still raised.

"Well sorry to burst your bubble, but I'm not going to answer any questions until you put that bow down." Her expression was confused but still straight.

"And why should I listen to you?"

"Look lady, I don't know what is happening I just got this letter to say come to the woods and find this hunter girl which I have no idea who she is and I am not going to be question by some stranger unless you're the hunter girl which will make a lot of sense knowing you have a bow and arrow and I'm just confused!" She didn't answer. The girl strapped her bow onto her back and walked away.

"Hey, come back." I yelled out. With no reply I ran after her. I didn't know where she was going or who she is, but I needed to know what was going on. "Wait up." I called after her. The strange girl continued to walk. My cut on my forearm started to burn again. My eye lids went heavy and dark spots dance in my eyes. My body felt like I was carrying the whole world on my shoulders. The strange girl was out of sight, and I was on the floor struggling to move. "Wait." I croaked. But it was too late. My head throbbed, and I drifted off into a deep sleep.
