The Bus Ride Home.
Honestly, The bus ride home was one of Dave’s favorite things. His friend, and long-time Boyfriend, both had the last stop. Giving them about 45 minutes to themselves in the back.
Although they had been dating about 7 months, John was still trying to hide it. Dave, Just happy he could call John his boyfriend, was A-Okay with that. Bro knew, but that was the only other person. (Besides Rose of course, how the Fuck did she find out? No one knew.) Most of the kids were so loud and busy with there own thing, That John would let his guard down, showing his affection for the blonde.
Dave would love it when ever John fell asleep. Most of the time while cuddling to his side. It gave Dave the chance to admire his boyfriend, stare at him and just.. Remember how absolutely Head-Over-Heals in love he was with him. Even if he never showed it. Often just calling him names, and teasing him, pointing out every mistake he made. It was just how Dave was. He had to keep his cool.
He remembered this one time, John had fallen asleep, while fussing over not being tired. It was something so simple, that made Dave go nuts.
If you’re wondering why this written as if it was past tense, Its because, Well, That was the same day John was hospitalized. Looking back on it now, Dave regrets’ not showing and telling John about how much he really had loved him..
So here he stood. The Blonde, Red-eyed, teen. Looming over his friends Grave. No one had taken harder then him. Not even John’s Father. And when Dave, Loosing his cool, screamed at everyone why he was upset, More then he even should be, He finally confessed his love for his friend, every last detail. Until he dropped too his knees sobbing. No one dared make a comment.
“I got you these, Egbrat.” Dave stood at John’s grave. Lightly tossing the Red Roses. “Fucking cheesy, and I couldn’t find anyone blue ones, weird right?” He was smiling threw the tears. A smile that had lost its light and purpose. “Tell me John.. At the end of your stupid shitty movies.. Do they always have a happy ending?”
Nothing but the wind answered him.
The real reason he was here was different all together though.
A stupid, drunken, promise he had made. A promise he would keep. Slowly raising his sword until it ripped threw his chest, Dark red blood seeping threw his shirt as he collapsed to the ground. Slowly bleeding out.
“You go…”
“I go..”
