Treasure From Under Seas (Mika x Yu fanfic)

~Ocean~

A few days have passed since Mika's birthday. I was laying on my bed, doing school work. Mika was sitting by the fish tank, talking to his seahorse. He seemed to understand exactly what she was saying, which I was pretty surprised about. His hand was in the tank as he occasionally pet her. I smiled at them before going back to my work. "Hey Yu-Chan?"

I glanced over at him. "Yeah?" I asked. He looked over at me and tucked hair out of his face. "Did Guren ever have a wife?" He asked. I tilted my head. "That's a little sudden." I said as I chuckled, closing my laptop. "I-I know but, I'm curious. I've never seen her before. I always see a ring on his finger but no wife." He said. I grabbed my desk chair and sat next to him. "I don't know the full story but, from what I've heard, she committed suicide.."

Mika's eyes widened as he looked at me. "I-I'm so sorry..." He said quietly. I shrugged. "She did it before I was born apparently, so I never knew her. But, Kimizuki knew her. She was his birth mother after all." I said. He looked over at me before he wrapped his arms around me. "I'm really sorry." He said quietly. I chuckled a little. "Hey, don't get all sad on me now. I just got you happy!" I joked as I looked st him. "Listen, I've gotta finish a few more lessons for school. If you'd like, we can go to the ocean and allow you to swim with Cordelia."

His eyes widened and he nodded quickly. "O-Okay!" He said happily. He looked back at the tank and started petting her again. I smiled and got back up to my computer.

~Time Skip~

Mika didn't waste any time putting Cordelia into the ocean and removing his clothes to join her. I smiled and removed my shirt before slowly walking in. I smiled as he got super happy to swim with his pet again. Once I was in, I sat on the bottom of the ocean floor. He looked over at me and slowly swam over. "What's wrong?" He asked. I shook my head. "Nothing. Just thinking." I said. He sat next to me and snuggled into my side.

"Come swim with me."

I looked at him. I saw him start to pout before sighing.  "Alright, alright. I'll come, don't give me the puppy eyes." I said as I smiled. He smiled bright and grabbed my hand. "Not too fast ok?" I said. He nodded his head. Slowly, he started to swim, me following afterwards. I saw the seahorse follow after and smiled. "She's pretty cute." I said. Mika nodded and giggled. "Yep!"

"Your highness?"

Mika suddenly stopped at that. He slowly turned, only to gasp. I turned as well to find another mermaid. He seemed to be wearing royal clothing as he stared at Mika, complete shock covering his face. "Is that really you, Your Highness?" The older merman asked. Mika stared at him. "What do you want?" He asked softly. "I can't believe it's you! Wait until Her Majesty hears your alive! Oh will she be filled with joy!" The merman rejoiced.

"Her majesty?" I asked curiously. The merman looked at me and scowled. "Is that, a human?" He growled quietly, suddenly reaching for something behind him. Before I could react, Mika swam in front of me. "He means no harm!" He said quickly. The guard looked at me before slowly lowering his hand. "As you wish."

"Now who is 'Her Majesty'?" I asked again. "Why Her Majesty the Queen of course, His Highness' mother."

Mika's eyes widened as he gasped. "M-My mother...? She's alive...?" He asked quietly. The guard nodded  his head. "Alive and well." He said. I felt Mika grab my hand. I looked over st him. "W-We gotta go see her then!" I said. Mika looked at me. "B-But what about Guren?" He said. "Look, I'll talk to him and tell him I'm going to Yoichi's house. He won't suspect a thing." I said. He looked st me and nodded before leaning in to kiss me. "Please hurry back. I don't want to go alone..." He said quietly. I nodded my head before quickly swimming to the surface to get out.
