Izzy is a dog that NEEDS YOUR HELP!! This is her story:
I let the dogs out at approximately 6:15 this morning. Isabelle
used the bathroom; she was out front when she saw the neighbors
at the corner and just trotted along to say hi.
She has grown up wearing a wireless collar and she is so
well trained to it we did not realize the system had been bumped
...and needed to be reset during the night. Once she realized she
could get past her boundary she just trotted up the street. She
was NOT in attack mode she just trotted up the street to meet the
neighbors. I was 10-15 paces away from Izzy, her tail was
wagging, I called to her, “Isabelle’s a good dog, you stay there,
nana is coming…”
The couple was standing there holding their dog, Isabelle walked
up and was sniffing the lady when the woman started to panic. I
picked up my pace a bit saying again to Izzy, “stay, be a good
girl” in which she was. The wife started screaming “get it away,
get it away…” With no regard for consequences, her husband threw
hot coffee on the dog. When he did that, the dog lifted up and
placed her paws on the woman’s back and nipped her on the arm. I
heard her say “oh my God, he just bit me…” I continued to
attempt to get the dog without success due to the actions of the
plaintiff.
I had the dog calm and under control until he threw the coffee on
her. After throwing the coffee on her he then started swinging
his coffee cup at her wildly and scared, Isabelle bit her again.
I told the people to calm down and I would get my dog but he
continued to chase Isabelle, swinging the coffee cup, trying to
hit her with it, in the process he was also kicking at her and
nearly hit me with the cup in the head. (Felt it whiz across my
hair), I was unable to get to my dog for fear that he was going
to hit me.
I got the dogs attention and she started calmly walking home. I
told the people to go home and I kept the dog on the opposite
side of the street from them. When we got back to our yard, I
rounded the dog up marched her back into the house. I also
checked her for burns from the coffee (she cried and winced when
hit with the hot coffee). I have pictures of her coffee stained
back and side. She was groomed 2 days ago and has very short fur
where he doused her. The area remained red for some hours after
the event.
After calming down a bit I got in my car and drove down to their
house to check and see if she was okay. I asked her to let me
know what was going on and asked her if she was okay she said she
was going to the hospital. I told her to let me know what the
doctor said and I assured her Isabelle had had all of her shots
just 2 days earlier. Please visit these links for ways to help Izzy or Izzy related info: http://www.facebook.com/SaveIz/info http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Mt5Me3iO_s&feature=player_embedded http://www.wattpad.com/forums/discussion/276487/save-an-innocent-animal/#Item_7 http://www.causes.com/actions/1671310?recruiter_id=48495325&utm_campaign=invite&utm_medium=wall&utm_source=fb#
