I screamed, as this man took his hands off of me. He also looked shocked. "I saw it... the devil was in her. She will cause destruction to this city. Get her out of here." The hooded man said. Was that me I saw? The headmaster nodded and dragged me to the metal machine. I kicked and screamed, while I heard my mother shouting, crying that I was being taken. Suddenly, my eyes turned bright gold, like in the vision. Suddenly, my shadow started to move by itself and it broke the teachers shadows neck, killing the teacher.

I jolted awake, dripping in sweat. The same recurring dream stuck in my head, as it has done for the last ten years. No matter how much it plays in my head, the feeling only gets worse the older I am.
Noticing there was no light pearcing through my curtains, I guessed the time was about 4:00 in the morning. My mother was asleep, so I looked at the news on my phone. There were multiple stories That seemed interesting. 'Tony Stark dead' 'New Wakandan King' and 'Central Park destroyed in fight' stood out the most.
I placed my phone back down on my bedside table, when a blinding light shone through my window. Squinting, I looked out to see a hooded figure, stood outside my house similar to the one before. Although, this person was different, as long, dark hair flowed out of the hood.
"Corrina..." the woman whispered. Her voice was powerful, although quiet. Powerful enough to be heard through walls.
I made my way outside, standing face to face with this woman. Her face was more clear now, not enough to see key features though. "Ah, the chosen one has finally decided to show up." The woman stated.
"Whatever your selling, I'm not buying." I replied, trying to act tougher than I knew I was.
"Oh, honey. Don't act strong, we both know you aren't." I gritted my teeth. "But I can make you. Come with me, I can teach you. You would be treated as a God, Corrina."
"How do you know my name?" I asked, starting to shake nervously.
"Your Corrina Sorrel. You were banished from your home ten years ago, we've been studying you for all those years, we know about you more than you know yourself." I couldn't answer, so I was going to let her continue. "The place you were from, in Missouri, was actually from another Earth. There is another universe where some humans have slightly different DNA, which gives them special powers, also known as mutants."
I figured I was one of these 'mutants'. "How do you know so much?"
"Because..." She started, pulling her hood down, revealing a deep purple scar crossing her right eye. "We're more alike than you think. I'm from your universe too. I could tell you more, if you come with me."
"When do I start?"

This woman led me into a church, where hundreds more hooded figures were all praying. She took me by hand down the isle, when one acolyte looked up at me, revealing his face. It was a young boy, about my age. He seemed worried, fear striking his hazel eyes. We carried on past him, as we reached an altar. The woman stood behind it, as everyone in the room looked up to us.
"I have brought the chosen one, and she has chosen to join us!" She shouts over the crowd. Suddenly she turns to me."Please, say something. They won't judge."
"Umm... hello? My name is Corrina Sorrel, as most of you know. I was told that I could be worshipped as a god. Please, don't. I don't deserve it. Gods don't kill, and trust me, I have, and I will if I have to." I explained, as if they never heard what I said. Scanning the crowd, I found the boy from earlier. He noticed me look at him and walked off through the door.
I stepped down from the altar, and started to walk towards the door, interested by this boy, but I couldn't reach the door, because I was being hassled by all these hooded figures.
"Please, take this gift."
"Can you do miracles?"
"Will you please heal my son? He is sick."I ignored these requests, pushing through the crowd. I finally reached the door, and saw the boy walk around to the back of the graveyard that was surrounding this church. He stopped at a grave, looked at me, and pressed the 'o' from the name of who the grave was holding. The section from where the coffin was meant to be, opened up to lead to a staircase. I ran over to this grave, and read the name. The grave read the name 'Joshua Gill' which absolutely meant nothing to me.
I copied what the boy did, pressing the 'o'. The staircase opened up below me, and I made my way down them.
Inside this bunker, the walls were a dark grey, as if they weren't painted in a while. Training equipment, such as treadmills and punching bags, were set up all over the place. The boy had some earphones in, while he was punching this punching bag, obviously not hearing me come in.
Walking up to him, I tapped him on the shoulder. He was frightened, as he swung around and almost hit me. I stopped his fist in time, although, his punch was stronger than the average boy of his age. Once he noticed who I was, he instantly dragged his fist back down to his side.
"You followed me." He spoke with an angry tone in his voice. Now he was still, I could notice his features more. He had brown hair slicked back, while shaved at the sides. Honestly, he didn't seem to be the type of boy to join a cult.
"Yeah, you just seemed... different to them. Who are you and why are you here?" I asked him.
"My name is Kit, Kit Dextra. And you shouldn't trust Lilith, or should I say Goddess as she likes to be called."

Once again, a big thanks again to my amazing girlfriend, Wolfgal54 for creating the characters of Corrina and Goddess.
Wolfgal54, sorry if this is a bit cliché and cheesy, but I know your reading this right now, thank you for being a great inspiration to write for, and I hope you enjoy this chapter x
