Chapter 4

Lucy P.O.V

I did it. I finally told him my feelings. And now we kissed again. His lips are so soft, so warm, and felt so shocking. (A/N no pun intended ;)) It felt so amazing. It felt like I belong with him. After about a minute we both ran out if air and our lips separated and we were able to breath. I hugged him and he done the same. I'm so happy now. I haven't felt like this in a long time. He made me happy. Then it hit me.
"I'm so sorry I never told you about him abusing me. I couldn't stop him. He would've killed me. I'm so sorry" Then i silently cried on him.
"Shh don't cry it's not your fault. I could've helped you." He said trying to calm me down. I looked at him and I saw his cheeks with tears on them. I reached his cheek with my hand and dried them away.
"B-but I never told you so how would help me?" I asked him.
"I could've brought you home with me. Never let you leave my side. Protect you. Now look at you. Scars and bruises and burns. It hurts me." He said now a bit calmed down
"It hurts me too. It also hurts to see you hurt. Im so sorry Laxus." I said and held his hand.
"It's his fault. Not yours. Don't think that it is." He said and smiled a bit. Damn that smile. It makes me want to melt so I smiled back.
"Yea. It is." I said then we started to walk down the stairs and everyone stares at us looking at our hands. I blush a bit but don'tlet go of his hand and I felt him squeeze mine. We walked to the bar with our heads up high like we didn't a care in the world. I saw Mira with wide eyes.
"So you finally confessed to each other?" We nod are head.
"Finally! Oh I'm so happy for you guys." She said.
"Thanks Mira but we have to go watch the guild. If Natsu comes back. Kill him." I heard Laxus say in the scariest tone I ever heard from him.
"I will. Lucy, I'm so sorry." She said
"It's fine now Mira." I said with a smile.
"We have to go now. Watch the guild." Laxus said then we left.
~1 hour later~
Laxus P.O.V.
We finally arrived at her parents grave. I bought some flowers to place on their headstones.
"Hey mama. Hi papa." I heard Lucy say.
"Hello Mr. and Mrs. Heartfilia." I said then place the flowers down on the stones.
"I kniw you both are here but I came to see mama. Sorry papa. I'll talk to you soon." She said then moved to her mothers grave with me beside her holding her hand. We then sat on the grass and were quiet for a moment before she spoke.
"Hi mama. I miss you. It's been a year since Makorav left and so many since you did." She said and I heard her sniff.
"Today is a sad day but it wasn't that bad thanks to Laxus." She said smiling.
"I did it. I finally told him how I felt. And he accepted it. He loves me to mama. He's protecting me and loving me. Ma I'mso happy now." She stopped crying and was smiling so much. It's so beautiful.
"Mrs. Heartfilia, I promise to love your daughter with all of my heart and soul. I will do everything in my power to protect her and make sure she is never hurt again." I smiled at Lucy.
"One day I'll love another girl. But she will look just like her mother." I said and chuckled lightly looking at Lucy's red face. It's so cute.
"You're gonna wait a while for that one." She saidand I couldn't help but laugh and hug her.
"I know, I know. I'm just teasing." I said
"Well mama, we have to go. I'll come back soon." She said and we both stand up.
"Goodbye Mr. ans Mrs. Heartfila." And with that we left. I took her to her new home. Our home.
