Mia's POV
My alarm went off at 7. Way too early. Today was my first day of high school, yay! I had convinced my grandma into letting me go because she was worried about me. I love my grandma but I really wanted to go to high school. I had Kennedy and Tamara at least. Lara had stopped talking to me after the sleepover on the roof. Kennedy apologised for her but I didn't really care that much. Carter and I still weren't together and I wasn't planning to do anything yet. I wanted to see if Carter was actually willing to wait. I still felt the electric sparks through my body every time our skin made contact, even if it's by accident. He has such an effect on me and he doesn't even try. Ugh, I sound so love struck. I rolled out of my insanely comfortable bed. I swear it wasn't that comfy last night when I was trying to sleep. I groaned and walked sluggishly to my wardrobe to pick out an outfit. I ended up picking a black and red plaid top over a white tank top that I tucked into my light blue jeans with studs on the pockets. I finished off the look with white high top converse. I applied some mascara and winged eyeliner before straightening my mess of hair. Finally I was ready. I picked up my dark blue backpack with an aztec print pocket. I ran downstairs and grabbed the car keys.
"Amelia! Come to the kitchen please." My grandma called. She often uses my full name. I followed her orders and stood in front of her.
"Yes?"
"Have a good day at school Ami." (A/N pronounced- Am-ee) She hugged me. She didn't want me to get bullied again and neither did I. She released me and gave me a genuine smile.
"Thanks Mima, I'll see you later." I waved and got into my car. I tossed my bag in the back seat and started driving to school. I stopped at a red light and suddenly someone got into the passenger seat of my car.
"What the hell?!" I screamed at the stranger. They turned their head and it was Carter. I groaned and turned around, expecting Nash and Cameron in the back seat. I was right. They nodded and I started driving as the light turned green.
"Sorry, but we really didn't want to walk." Carter smiled, which made me forgive him for scaring the crap out of me.
"It's fine, just call me next time." I told him and he nodded. We arrived at the school and all four of us got out. I retrieved my bag from the back seat and then locked my car. The place was swarming with students, as you would expect at a high school. My last high school wasn't this big. My heart was nearly beating out of my chest and my mouth felt dry. Carter was standing beside me, looking at me with a concerned expression.
"Mia? Are you okay?" He asked.
"Y-yeah, I'll be fine." I reassured him but he didn't look convinced. We both walked to the entrance and went to the office to get our timetables. Once we had got them, Carter snatched mine and compared our two timetables. A frown crossed his face.
"We have all classes together except maths and history." He told me and handed me back the piece of paper.
"That's pretty good. Maybe Kennedy or Tamara will have maths. Or even Nash or Cameron. Don't worry about me."
"I'm not worried about you, I'm worried about me. Who's work will I copy now?" I slapped his shoulder and he laughed. The bell rang and we both went to our classes, mine just happening to be maths. I entered the classroom and found an empty seat next to a familiar looking girl. I knew I had seen her somewhere before.
"Hi, I'm Olivia." She introduced herself. I know that name.
"I'm Mia."
"Oh, you're Carters girlfriend." How do I know her?
