"Husband," Marian smiled as she had been watching a little telly. She has slept for an hour but then woke up and needed to watch something.  She was feeling a little restless.

He stepped forward and handed her the flowers. He bent down and kissed her. "How are you feeling?"

"Good, how was your flight? Were you freaking out? Are you still? Did my mom tell you?" She asked sitting up and looking at the flowers.

He sat down and took her hand and held it tightly. "Flight was good," he said and kissed her knuckles. "Of course she told me and what do you think," he said trying to give her a loopy smile but he knew it was coming across as anything but.

"Looks like daddy found me a heart and you will be stuck with me for a very long time." She giggled. "Stuck my the pain the behind father in law."

"I'd do anything to be with you forever," he said trying not to cry. Now that it was a reality, he was incredibly overcome with emotion.

Marian scooted over on the bed " Come sit down and relax. I'm going to be fine, daddy got me a heart," she said with a smile.

He climbed into bed with her and pulled her into his arms. "What time is your surgery scheduled for?" He asked holding her close. And kissed her forehead.

"Two o' clock.  They'll start prepping me about one," she said. "It will be a long surgery from what my father tells me." She said.  "I don't want people sitting in the waiting room on me wasting there whole day in a hospital. When they could be doing something nicer and more fun."

"You know that's not going to happen," he said gently and traced her wedding rings with his fingers. "Mum and Gemma are on their way."

"I know, but I had to say it. I hate the idea of everyone cooped up here. Bored out of their minds while I am in an 8 plus hour surgery."

"There's no other place they're going to want to be," he said. "Zayn and Kaia are coming. Their flight leaves London at like eleven tonight." He said. "And do you really think you can stop her from coming?" He teased.

"It was worth a try," Marian said with a small laugh. "She never listened to me in the past so I don't know why today would be different. Is she bringing the kids?"

He nodded. "Yes, Trisha and Doniya are coming with them as well as Katia and Liam," he said. "Did you know that he and Kaia have made up in a sense?"

"Death does weird things to people," she said giving him Eskimo kisses. "How did Faith Amelia do on the flight over?"

"You're not going to die," he said and gently rubbed his nose against hers. "She did really well. Slept for most of the trip but I did wake her up so she could eat," he said. "I love you so much, Marian."

"I love you, my husband," she said truly meaning it. "Faith Amelia is such a daddy's girl. She is so calm like you. William was always kicking and moving around. Wanting to see the world around him."

He couldn't help but smile and then he sighed heavily. "So this heart is a match for you?" He asked. "Everything is good to go?"

"Yes, the woman I'm getting it from was in an accident last week. The family was holding out hope she would recover but she was pronounced brain dead yesterday," Marian told him. "Her doctor and my father are good friends. My father buttered him up a bit so that if any hearts became available, he would get first shot at it. So that was why he had to leave yesterday so quickly. So they could run the tests to see if I was a match. Daddy talked them into giving me the heart. Placing me on the top of the list," she said.  "Thanks to daddy, I'm going to live."
