(y/n)
i was walking down the damp streets of manchester, the cold air wisping through the chill autumn breeze. it had been a usual tuesday afternoon quite basic if you think about it. strolls down the road, local coffee shops, a smoke near the road, and lovely music all accompanying it.
it wasn't until I lost train of though while sipping on black coffee. i seemed to notice something off about my usual afternoon. a sense perhaps. i look forward to see a person who is unfamiliar considering the small area nearby. he was thin, short, with an obvious paleness from lack of sun. his hair comparable to oak wood shined in the artificial lighting. his aura fitting the atmosphere. i wanted to know more about this mystery man. as he sat down i approached him.
"hello i don't believe we've met before, my names (y/n)"
i said with a welcoming gesture.
"oh, hello my names alex, alex elmslie." quite the name for a new person."so alex, what kind of things do you do?" i said.
"well I make videos on youtube, yeah i know pretty boring." he stated with a concerning look on his face."youtube? well that's better than my shitty job. im a writer, well really im basically a starving artist but that doesn't look good on a job application." i said with a slight chuckle, he laughed along.
as we continued with the banter we (or at least i) started to grow a fondness for him, like i felt like he was no longer a stranger but rather a long time friend.we decided to trade number and go separate ways.
"you seem interesting (y/n), i really hope to see you again sometime." he said.
"i really liked your company too, hope to see you at the coffee shop soon, alex"
with that final sentence we parted ways.
