Chapter 4

BENS POV

Ryan told me he had a surprise for me. I went into his room along with Amy and I saw Abbi sleeping on the bed. She was a cutie!

He started rummaging through his suitcase. He lifted out a bright orange shirt with yellow tropical flowers all over it.

"I bought us matching shirts" He smiled wide before pulling out another top, this time it was yellow with orange flowers.

"You cannot be serious?!" I shook my head and chuckled.

Amy started clapping and laughing,

"You two will look adorable, like a cute couple" She took one of the shirts from Ryan and put it up against me,

"Looks like it fits!" She smirked.

Ryan laughed,

"I'll be pretty hurt if you don't wear that to be honest..." He pouted and began to laugh.

I had no words to describe the, unique, shirt. But hey I'm known for wearing things out of the ordinary!

"Guess who emailed me earlier" he blushed, changing the subject.

"Who?" I asked, confused.

"Laura" he smiled. A smile I hadn't see for a long time.

"Oh wow! What did she say?" I asked, curious.

"Just that it would be good to catch up,talk about life and stuff" he unbuttoned his shirt and exchanged it for the flower one.

"Yeah, that sounds good!" I knew Laura and Ryan had a connection. A strong friendship. It was obvious she had feelings for him, but he always avoided the question when I brought it up. He always had Jackie and Jackie was the only girl he ever cared about. But how would he act around Laura now?

RYANS POV

"Yeah that sounds good!" Ben replied.

"And I was thinking, maybe we could record that track that you guys sang together? Release it, give the fans something new and exciting?"

I got excited at the thought of releasing something new. Something for the fans who had stuck by us all this time. It had been a while since we had given them new stuff, and they deserved it.

"That is an amazing idea! You should tell Laura and get her to meet us once we're back in Seattle!" Ben shared the same excited tone as I did.

Ben and Amy left to get ready for dinner and I opened my laptop up.

There was a new email from Laura, it read:

Wow Hawaii huh? Sounds like an adventure!

I would love to record that track, I'm actually moving to a little apartment in Seattle next week so that would make it easier for us to all work together. I already have the beat mastered and my vocals done, we just gotta get Ben's and it's ready!

Give Abbi a big hug from me and I hope y'all have a great time in Hawaii!

Wow. So within a week or two there will be a new song for the fans. I texted ben to tell him,

To: Ben

Laura said yes, everything is ready just gotta record your vocals when we're back. :) :)

From Ben:

Wow that was fast. Ok so we should get the fans pumped, new music in 2 weeks?

To Ben:

Yes! Let's do this!

I opened up twitter and composed a tweet.

@RyanLewis: SHARK FACE GANG! New music with @LauraDevon in less than 2 weeks, we'll keep you posted!;)

Instantly the fanbase was going crazy. 100 retweets, 300 retweets, 500 retweets. Instagram was insane, fans getting excited and wanting to know more. I could tell this was gunna be a big one.

When me and Abbi were ready for dinner we waited outside Ben and Amy's room. Ben walked out in the shirt I had got him and some shades on. I also had my shades on.

"Aw hell nawh, this is an instagram photo right here!"

He took his phone out and handed it to Amy who took the photo of us looking all tough and manly in our flower shirts and shades.

He posted it on Instagram.

"@macklemore: Me and the bro reppin' that flower gang in Hawaii."

As we walked to the restaurant my phone bleeped and I noticed that Ben had tagged me in a tweet.

"@macklemore: New music with @ryanlewis & @lauradevon soon. Stay tuned shark face gang."

I retweeted it and yet again everyone went crazy.
