"Urgh! This house is so damn fucking boring. I mean,we are just two college kids in a damn one-story building in a high profile area. Like where everyone's nose is so high you could see the booger they're hiding." Kate said to her best friend on a hot summer afternoon.
"Idea B! What do you think about this: Mrs. Travis Kate Chase?" Kate asked her all-time best friend Bernice.
"That that's the most pathetic idea you could come up with cause it's so not happening. Like, you've had this crush for as long as I remember and he's paid you no attention at all for the past ten years. Give it up K." Bernice replied exasperated.
"No, it's not! And he's so going to fall for me. Just watch and see!" Kate shot back at her best friend.
"Whatever floats your boat sister!" Bernice yelled as she took the dishes to the kitchen.
"I am not floating on any boat! And I mean it! You know what? How about we take a bet here. If I end up being Mrs. Chase, you'll do whatever I tell you to." Kate told her best friend with all determination in her eyes.
"Let me make it easier for you. If you succeed, I will forget about my purity promise and lose my virginity to any guy you chose instead of waiting till I meet my forever prince." Bernice said taking her best friend's hands in hers.
"Oh, you're so going to lose it. And I have a lot of candidates ready to fill that post." Kate said with a big grin on her face.
"And if you don't? Hmmmmmmm. Let me see. You'll have to strip sexily for any guy of my choice. Till the very last. And you'll do what I say after that for a whole month." Bernice said smiling genuinely at her best friend.
"That's so not gonna happen, but I'll just let you dream about your first guy. You know it's so gonna give me the joy to see you loose." Kate replied moving to her room.
"Wait!" Bernice shouted making her stop.
"Do you know what will make it more interesting? A deadline. So. I. Give. You. A. Whole. Month to make him notice you. And Three months to earn that title you so badly want." Bernice ended with a smirk.
"That's so damn short B, why not something like a whole year. That will be so much better." Kate whined to her best friend.
"Nope! Either that or nothing."Bernice replied with a bigger smile.
"Fine! Urgh! You're so evil for a best friend! But get ready to lose baby!" She shouted the last part running up the stairs to her room.
"We'll see MAMA!" Bernice shouted after her best friend, following her up the stairs.
