A couple of weeks after the Grand Trial on Melemele Island, the three friends were making their way to their first Trial on Akala Island. Red and Leaf rode on Charizard and Blue took his Aerodactyl. After a short flight the friends landed on Akala Island at the Trial Site, once they arrived they saw the Trial Captain standing there. The captain was a tall man wearing a pair of purple swim trunks with a plain white swim shirt and he had a necklace with the tooth of a large Sharpedo on it.
"Alola! You must be the three who defeated old Hala back on Melemele right?" the man asked.
"Yeah that's us." Blue told him.
"Well my name's Andy, welcome to the first Trial of Akala Island!" the man introduced himself.
"What do we have to do?" Leaf asked.
"Well pretty miss-" Andy began but was cut off when Red grabbed the collar of his shirt and lifted him off the ground.
Red didn't have to speak, his eyes conveyed the message extremely well Stay away.
Once Red set Andy back on the ground the Trial Captain began to apologize, "I am terribly sorry, I didn-"
"Right he understands just don't do it again." Leaf cut him off while Red pulled her close.
Blue chuckled before speaking up, "Alright now what do we have to do?"
"Well you have to dive down to the ocean floor in the shallowest part here by the drop off and collect a medallion each. The medallions are large gold colored discs on strings, good luck!" Andy told them as he pointed towards the beach, "Oh and you are allowed to use pokemon to assist you."
"Let's go!" Blue exclaimed as he took off his shirt and ran towards the water.
Leaf had worn her bathing suit under her clothes so she too removed her outer clothing and dragged Red who was still taking off his shirt towards the water. Once they were all ready, Blue called out Gyarados and grabbed onto its fin. The two shot down towards the floor of the ocean and soon Red called out his Lapras and he and Leaf made their way to the bottom as well. When they all arrived Blue was prying a medallion loose from a rock and Red saw one buried slightly in the sand. He tapped Leaf on the shoulder and pointed her to it. Leaf swam over and grabbed the medallion while Red found his caught underneath a small stone.
When all of them had their medallions they made their way to the surface and saw Andy waiting for them.
"Now that you have those you must break them in half. This will anger the Totem Pokemon enough for it to attack." he told them.
They all broke their medallions together and as they did, a lour screech was heard from the water. Then a large pokemon burst out from the ocean and let loose another screech at the three.
"That, is the Totem Araquanid." Andy told them.
"Gyarados, Ice Fang!" Blue exclaimed.
Gyarados bit down onto the pokemon, freezing its leg. Red looked at Pikachu who shot off in a Volt Tackle and slammed into the pokemon, then Leaf called out her Leafeon who used Razor Leaf.
The pokemon didn't even have a chance to get in a move before Red finished it with a final Thunderbolt from Pikachu.
"Wow, I-I've never seen such power." Andy said in disbelief as he gave them their Z-Crystals.
Blue smirked as the three left. The next two trials went similarly, they would complete the Trial and battle the totem. Each time taking no more than five minutes.
The three friends went home after the Trials were done, they arrived at the house after dinner and all decided to relax with a few drinks and a movie or two. They all knew that the coming day would bring with it, the Grand Trial.
When they awoke the next morning, Red and Leaf got Blue up and made their way to the Grand Trial. When they arrived they saw Kahuna Olivia waiting for them on the stone battlefield.
"Alola you three! Ready for the trial?" she asked them.
"Yeah, let's do this!" Blue exclaimed, "Go Alakazam!"
"Let's go Anorith!" Olivia called out her first pokemon.
The battle was extremely one sided, Blue would call out moves like Psychic and launch Olivia's pokemon into the pillars nearby before fainting them. Even her Z-Move did almost nothing, and the same went with Leaf. But when the time came for Red to battle, Olivia was shocked when he chose Pikachu.
"Bad choice, Anorith let's crush him beneath our rocks!" Olivia exclaimed.
Anorith tried to hit Pikachu with Metal Claw but Pikachu simply shot away with Quick Attack and then slammed an Iron Tail into the rock and bug type. When Olivia saw her fainted pokemon, she paled and began to sweat in fear.
"L-Let's go Lileep!" she stuttered out before getting control of herself and glaring at Red.
Pikachu shot off again and leaped above Lileep before launching it with a weaker Iron Tail. Lileep got up and used Giga Drain at Olivia's command but Pikachu simply jumped away and slammed one final Iron Tail into the pokemon, fainting it.
"Fine then, let's crush this fool Lycanroc!" Olivia yelled.
Lycanroc materialized and glared at Pikachu who glared back.
"Lycanroc, use Bite!" Olivia called out.
Pikachu jumped up and slammed his tail which began to glow into Lycanroc's mouth. When the rock type bit down, Pikachu spun around, throwing it off of him before jumping back.
Olivia began her Z-Move, hoping that maybe it would beat Pikachu with type advantage.
"Continental Crush!" Olivia cried out as she finished the poses.
Lycanroc leaped into the sky and a huge stone formed above it, then with a grunt it hurled it at Pikachu.
"Stop it." came the first words Red had spoken in front of the crowd that was gathered watching the battles.
Pikachu's tail glowed white and he swung it into the boulder that was hurtling towards him. As the Iron Tail connected with the boulder, it split in half and kicked up dust around Pikachu. When the dust cleared, Pikachu stood perfectly fine and within an instant he shot off at Lycanroc. When Pikachu got close, he swung the Iron Tail into Lycanroc's head, sending him flying, fainted.
Olivia may not have liked losing but she knew that Red was far more powerful than anyone in Alola. She handed him his Z-Crystal and congratulated him before heading home. The three friends did the same.
That night as they all sat on the couch, Red flipped to the news and saw an interview.
"And today, the long awaited Aether Paradise has been finished! And here is the president of the Aether Foundation, Lusamine Aether!" the news woman said.
A woman in mostly white clothes with pale blond hair encircling her body stepped into view.
"My name is Lusamine and I am the president of the Aether Foundation. Here at Aether we seek to help rehabilitate pokemon that are weak and injured before releasing them into the wild." Lusamine said to the camera.
Red switched off the news as he was dragged by Leaf to her room, where he now stayed with her and Blue walked to his own room. Two Grand Trials down and two to go.
(Sorry for not showing the trials but I honestly have no idea what to do to make them up. Also I won't be spending to much more time on this book because as can be seen, the three are extremely over powered and this is intentional, I need them to be like this for another book to make sense, that book being the sequel. Once again sorry for the poor quality of the story right now but if anyone stays to read the sequel after it should be more balanced and make some sense.)
