I crept into the shadow, making sure to watch where I stepped. I stopped watching the slow and clumsy movements of the small human. I looked down to see my ghost-like body turn to black ragged fur. I waited slowly breathing in as the last of my new body appeared, I covered my face with the skull hanging on my neck and crept out of the shadow. "hello" I said with a weathered voice, the child turned around and stared before mumbling "h-hi" I stepped closer saying "Want to see something magical?" The child stepped backward "I-I think that I should go home..." His eyes wide with fright. My tail violently swished behind me in annoyance as I calmed myself to say "are you sure? It is very magical and very fun to play with." I stepped forward again, forcing a smile that looked more like a sinister grin. The child opened his mouth before turning around and sprinting, I lunged barely scraping the flailing cloth he wore. A frustrated yowl escaped me before I started running at the small child, I pounced pinning him down in the pine woods. The small boy was stronger than I expected and was able to wriggle until he was pinned on his back, stupid child, that only weakens your vital organs as soon I loosened my grip whilst thinking and the child tore his arm free grabbing a pinecone. The boy flung his arm forward, jabbing the pinecone into my eye, blood poured onto my face, I reared backward yowling in agony as the boy got up and sprinted away into the darkness. I stepped backward looking up just in time to see the last of the boy slip away into shadow, I angerly yelled "stop!" but I knew the child would keep running. I yowled in anger making everything go silent as I walked into the dark forest, I felt the warm trickle of blood as I padded on the barely visible trail in the woods. I trotted along anger and anxiety bubbling in my chest as I walked the trail, I heard children walking with parents a distance away as I walked up to the old subway entrance.  I stopped and grunted before slipping into the subway entrance disappearing to the naked eye, I stepped out into the pine needle filled clearing and looked up to see Claw staring at me. I walked up to him and sat down, focusing on a pine needle on the ground to avoid his furious and heartless stare. "Absinthe," He said in  a mad voice that echoed in the abandoned pine forest, I'm in trouble
