The One Who Broke and Mend

hey guyssss omg I thought I'm not gonna reach chapter 20 but here I am lol. so, enjoy :)

Third Person's POV

The beeping sound of the heartbeat monitor almost drive Kakashi crazy. It has been almost 2 weeks and Yuki hasn't shown any kind of clue that she'll be awake soon. Kakashi sigh deeply, looking at the sleeping snow white in front of him. 'Am I too late?' he thinks to himself.

The last thing he remembered was seeing Yuki performed the hand signs to undo the seal. Orochimaru was smiling at him, not a creepy evilish smile but some kind of a relieved smile. He doesn't know if he was just seeing things or that Orochimaru was relieved to see him on the doorway.

After that, everything's going too fast. Kakashi didn't have the time to think, he just caught Yuki before she fell down, running out of chakra, and run as fast as he could, out of the hideout. He couldn't use his body flicker technique since his chakra was still running low too. All he could do was run. And he made it. He got both of them out before the explosion starts. But he doesn't understand why Yuki is not awake yet. She didn't got any scratch on her. She's physically fine.

Tsunade-sama said that she might be still exhausted from her earlier fight with Sasuke. Yuki's blood lost its ability to regenerate quickly since Sasuke used his chidori on his sword. For some reason, the electric stream stopped the regeneration of her blood. She might be concious all those times because of her own sheer will. She needs to accomplish her mission. She's just that kind of ninja.

Thinking about what the Hokage said made Kakashi mourn again. He remembers what he said to Yuki in the hideout. He should have not said that. Are you going to betray Konoha too? Damn it! What was he thinking? Looking at her now makes Kakashi's heart broken.

Suddenly, he saw the girl's eyebrow twitched. She let out a small groan and opened her eyes slowly. She stares at the roof for a while and then her eyes looking at her surrounding. Her eyes met Kakashi's. She smiles and said it slowly, "Kakashi." Kakashi almost didn't hear it if he was a little further from her. He grab Yuki's hand and smile widely under his mask. "Yuki."

Yuki blushed when she saw her hand is on Kakashi's grip. It looks contrast to her pale white face.

"Just wait here, I'll call the doctor," he said while he stood up and walk to the door.

Kakashi's POV

I run along the corridor to look for the doctor. Where are they?

Then, someone with a long white coat and stethoscope appears. She was reading her files while walking. Just the right person I want to see. "Sayaka-san!"

The doctor looked at me and smile, "ah, Kakashi. How's Yuki doing? Is she still unconcious? Don't worry she'll be fine. She's just exhausted and she needs to rest. Just wait for he-". "Yuki's awake! Please take a look at her!" I grab her hands and drag her all the way to Yuki's room. She mumbles something about 'why are this couple always cutting my sentence before I finished talking'.

Yuki is sitting on her bed. Her eyes look empty as she stares to her lap. Sayaka come close to her and check her pulse. "You're good. You can leave the hospital tomorrow," she said. But Yuki didn't say anything to her. Sayaka looked at me, confused, I just shook my head at her and then she left the room.

I sat myself on a chair beside her bed. My hand holding onto hers and I look straight to her eyes. Her emerald green eyes which somehow managed to capture my heart. She knows it all along and yet she never change the way she looked at me.

"Yuki,"

"Is he safe?"

She drifted her eyes away from mine when she said that. Something suddenly throbs into my heart. I don't know which one, the fact that she is the daughter of someone I hate the most or that she looked away from me.

"yes. He got out before the seal explode."

Her eyes soften as I said that. Both sides of her lips quirked up a bit. Her muscle which at first was tighten, relaxed at the fact that her father is safe. Orochimaru is safe. While she's here, almost died from the loss of blood and chakra. I don't know what kind of father would put his daughter's life before him.

"Don't think about him that way. He's not as bad as everyone think."

Yuki's words made my mind drifted back to that day. Surely, I know Orochimaru was the one who healed me. But I don't know what his motives were. Then, I remembered the moment before the explosion. Just a couple of seconds before I carried Yuki out from the hideout. The smile. The relieved smile. As if he knew that I'll be the one who'll take her daughter from out there. Orochimaru's one and only true smile, from the heart. Sounds pretty ironic, huh?

I held her hand tighter. She looked at me as she felt her hand under my grip. "I'm sorry," I said it again. "I was a fool. I didn't mean what I said."

She smiles at me. Her emerald green eyes stare right into my black and sharingan eyes. Her free hand pat my head and made its way to my cheek. "I know. It's fine."

Her fingers pulled my mask off. I lean over to her. Her cheek has some kind of faint blush. Her eyes locked on mine. Then, our lips pressed again each other.

Yes, we kissed. And unlike before, this one doesn't feel like it will be our last. It feels like a beginning. A start of something new. It feels like eternity without any further additional problems. I know that right now, she's mine. And I'm definitely hers. I know that she doesn't keep any secrets from me anymore. She's just as plain as she is, and so wonderful at the same time. She's my first and my last. The only one who has the power to break and mend my heart.

We pulled our lips at the same time. Her eyes opened slowly and she smiles. I can't help but smile at her. How can I not? She's the only one I've been dreaming of for 5 years. The only person I've waited on that long.

"I love you, Yuki," I said it again to her. And I'll say it over and over again.

She pulled me into a hug and said it, right to my ear.

"I love you too, Kakashi."

Third Person's POV

Sakura and Naruto walk around the village, just chattering about things since today is the only day off Naruto has.

"Where is Sai? Don't you think it'll be merrier with him?" Sakura said. Her words made Naruto frowned to her.

"Nee, Sakura-chan, it's better this way. It feels like a date with just both of us walking together on a street, don't you think? What good would it be if someone tagged along with us?" Naruto keeps on scowling while Sakura's attention has drifted into something else.

She stopped walking so suddenly, made Naruto bumped into her back. "What is it, Sakura-chan? Don't just stop walking like tha-". "Naruto, don't you think that's Kakashi-sensei?"

Naruto looked at her direction and he saw a silver haired man walking on the street. A girl with long black ponytail is walking beside him. They seem to talk about something.

"Yes. It's definitely him. But, who's that girl beside him?" Naruto asked. Sakura smiled and walk to the other direction. She tilted her fingers on her back and walk while humming some cheerful tone.

"Sakura-chan! Who's that girl? And why is she walking alone with Kakashi-sensei?"

Sakura punched his head lightly, "Baka Naruto! She's Yuki-san. Kakashi-sensei's girlfriend,"

Naruto's eyes widen at what she just said.

"WHATTT?! KAKASHI-SENSEI HAS A GIRLFRIEND?!!!"
