Rapunzel's fairytale is such a story to be thought of as predictable and boring in some cases, but her story is so much more.
It all begins with the birth of a beautiful young child. Although the process was more gruesome than expected. . . Rapunzel's mother was a high class lady with a perfect life and a perfect husband in the perfect neighborhood. When there was an issue during labor where Rapunzel's hair wrapped around her own neck and the doctors had to perform a C section on the mother, the parents had already decided that they had wanted to give up the child for adoption. When they figured out about the child's birth defect, they were already signing the paperwork to remove the child from their custody. Her mother refused to even hold the child, but names her nonetheless.
She thought the name Rapunzel would help make her child grow into a beautiful young women, and so she did. Thus was born a healthy child with one simple problem that her parents could not see past: long red hair. As she grew in age, her hair did the same. No matter how many times she cut it, the hair would grow back even more quickly making her and object of ridicule among all people who saw her a strange and different.. Behind the mask of her birth defect, people had trouble seeing the true beauty of the child. At still such a young age, Rapunzel thought that no one would ever want her, that no one would ever love her.
She could never be more wrong.
