The creatures limbs were twisted, and as it moved, the sounds of creasing metal and cracking plastic echoed through the hallway. It's body was deformed, with glowing, plastic eyes of familiar colors twisted into the metal. It's face was bare, with just a red nose, a party hat, and thin red eyebrows. The creature's eye flickered on and off, as if it were struggling to stay in consciousness. Then, a familiar voice echoed from the creature.
"We need you so that we can leave!""That's not her." Micheal whispered.
JULY 25TH, 1983
Micheal was looking at himself in the mirror, noting his own physical features as if he had been making sure everything was still attached. He ran his fingers through his messy brown hair to make sure it was clean. "It's not like it matters, I'm not going anywhere today anyway." He muddered to himself. He made his way out of the steam-filled bathroom and plopped down on a mold green couch and sat for minute. He looked up at the clock behind him, but he knew it would just say the same thing it had said for the past 3 years. "2:34. Why do we still have this? It's ugly and broken" He said to himself. He sat still for a few minutes. The room was silent. Micheal began to doze off before a voice pierced the silence.
"Hey Mike" a voice said from the corner.
Micheal whipped himself upright to see his father, William Afton, standing at the opposite end of the room. "What are you doing?"
Micheal repositioned himself to a more comfortable position. "Nothing much. Just enjoying the silence, I guess" Micheal responded.
"Well, while your mother and your sister are out getting groceries..." William started. "You want to seewhat I've been working on with Henry?" He finished.
"Sure, that could be fun. Not like I have anything better to do anyway" Michael responded. William gestured the an open door which led into a garage. The garage was dark and smelled of burning rubber and sawdust. William flipped a light switch on the wall next to him, and the lights flicked on with a soft hum. Micheal jumped, not expected to see what he saw. In front of him, a tall figure stood, motionless. Micheal could tell what it was immediately. "An animatronic" he said to himself. The animatronic was almost too tall for the small garage, the top of its head was just inches from the ceiling. It was clearly built to be female. It's face was smooth and white, simmering in the dim garage lights. It's face was painted with red rosy cheeks, thin red lipstick, a red nose, and glossy green eyes. It had a huge smile that stretched to the sides of its face, with it's teeth slightly visible. The face was made of sections, with one section pulled open, revealing part of the metal skull within It's head. It was wearing a red dress with frails, and in the center of it's torso was a small fan with a yellow rim around it. Micheal looked at it's arms. There were more plates on the arms, with one also being opened, revealing wires that were arranged to look like human muscle. Micheal shifted his attention to the legs, where more plates were placed. The thing's outfit was tied off with big jester like shoes with bells at the tips.
"It's name is Baby" William said. "She's the ultimate entertainment system. She can make balloons, ice cream, and even takes song requests!" He added. William walked over to the other side of the garage, where a small macintosh sat. William tapped a few keys, and all of the sudden, the animatronic snapped to life. All the plates that had been opened snap shut, her eyes flickered to life, and it snapped upward to face the doorway.
William gestured for Micheal to come over to where he was standing. Micheal shifted through a narrow space between the table and Baby's arm, and stood next to William. Baby snapped her head from the left to the right, and then stood silent for a second. Then, she said: "No audience detected." And then, the life that had flickered into her had disappeared. Her arms dropped to side of her body, and her head bowed. All the plates that had shut opened again, and everything went silent. "She can tell if anyone's in here?" Micheal asked.
"Yep!" William said with pride. "We put that in so she didn't waste battery performing for an absent audience." Willaim then tapped the keys again, but this time gestured for Micheal to stand in front of Baby. She flickered to life again, looked around, and then looked at Micheal. "Hi, Baby." Micheal said, not expecting a response. However, a short moment after he spoke, Baby waved her hand and tilted her head to make it seem like she was happy to see him. Micheal dropped his jaw. "Hold on, Mike. It gets better!" Willam said from the corner. Then, Baby went still for a moment. Micheal thought she had shut down, but then the small fan in her stomach began to spin. Micheal could feel freezing cold air blowing out of it. Then, her stomach opened, and Micheal jumped, but was amazed at what he saw next- inside Baby's stomach, an Ice Cream cone sat, twisted into a perfect looking cone. "Go on, grab it." Willaim said. Micheal reached his arm into Baby's stomach and carefully grabbed the cone. "Thank you, Baby." He said. "You are very welcome! Enjoy!" Baby said in a cheerful tone. Then, her eyes flickered off, her arms dropped to her sides, her head bowed again. "Well, I know it's not much, but me and Henry still have some tweeks to make before she's ready. Henry's coming by this weekend so we can do some more work on her." William said. "That was actually pretty cool if I'm being honest." Micheal said. "It was almost as if she was a real person." Micheal then looked back at Baby. He bent down to get a better look at her face, but all of the sudden, her face opened up with the loud sound of air hoses firing. Micheal jumped back and screamed, and William was laughing in the corner. Micheal saw William's hand on the keyboard, and he immediately realized that the scare was from him. "C'mon, dad. At least wait until October to do that kind of stuff!" Micheal yelled. "I'm sorry, I just couldn't help it! You were in the right place at the right time and I couldn't let that go to waste!" Willaim laughed. All of the sudden, Baby snapped back to life, but this time, stared right at William. William startled. Baby began mumbling words William couldn't make out. And then, she shut down again. William looked to Baby's back and noticed what had happened- Ice cream was dripping from her back. "Crap, the cooling unit must have broken again." Wiliam said. "Well, looks like Henry and i have some more work to do than we thought, huh?" William said. Micheal let out a little chuckle. "Alrighty, that's all I have to show you for now." William said. Then, outside, they both heard a car pull into the driveway. "That must be your mother and your sister. Let's go see if they need any help with the groceries."
