My name is Dylan Brown. I was born on December 11th, 2000 in the state of Arkansas. My Father's name is Scott Kenneth Brown and my Mother's name is Leanne Marie Stoddard. I'm from a family of five people. I'm the oldest of my siblings. My siblings' names are Arianna, Destinee, and Gabriel. My family hasn't had the best luck while I was growing up. When I was 15 years old, My little brother who is 4 now, had to go to the hospital twice for a burn on his arm and he also went into a seizure at the park because a swing hit him. After that happened, a few weeks later our house caught on fire and we lost all our stuff. If the neighbor didn't get my mom and brother from the house they wouldn't be here today.
Me and my sisters got back from school and we saw the fire fighters outside our house putting it out. A few years after that I was with my little cousin I got something stuck in a tree and when I climbed up to get it, the branch broke on me and I got knocked out from hitting the ground too hard. I woke up in the hospital and the doctor said that I broke my arm and that part of the branch went into my arm. I didn't mind the cast, although it was a little annoying to not be able to use my arm.
When I was younger I grew up in a small town in Arkansas. I wasn't a good kid growing up. I was a thief before I came here. I was always listening to music growing up. Before I came here one of my favorite things to do was parkour and hack into random mobile games. I love to climb to the top of buildings. I'm usually very observant about a lot of things like what is the best way to do something. I wasn't doing good in school growing up. I was always coming home with bad grades. I never had time to do my homework because I had to go places and watch my siblings. I came to Job Corp to go into welding and meet new people. Growing up, I always thought of the world as a game. Each part of life is just another stage or level. Once you get to a certain point you get rewarded. I look at life this way still to this day. I Think it's fun to think this way. It makes things more interesting. Make a mission for yourself and get it done in a certain amount of time.
January 8th, 2018, I've arrived at the Job Corps center. I walked out of the welcome center and slipped. I decided to come to Job Corps because I wasn't doing good in my high school and I wasn't really going anywhere in life. I've learned that you must do a lot of work to get by here. This place isn't too bad once you get used to it. I try to always stay on positive. If you're on positive, you can get more fun privileges. Some things here are kind of difficult. The managers of the dorms like to change things on the spot and it gets annoying. Some people describe me as energetic and I usually am energetic but I made the mistake of smoking growing up.
I'm hoping to finish being a (CNA) Certified Nursing Assistant early in the future. After I finish this trade I want to go into Material Handling or NCI. I have two dream jobs, Underwater Welder, or video game creator. The earlier I finish the faster I can get a good job out in the field I want. I still must figure out what college or university I want to go to. I might try to go to a community college. In the future, I'm hoping to get an amazing job in a great neighborhood. I've always wanted to live somewhere very warm like California, Florida, or Hawaii. If I get a job like underwater welding, I might want to be somewhere close to the coast. Places like California and Florida are places that have big video game company's. I also want to go on the outside obstacle course called American Ninja Warrior. I want to train for a while and try to go on it. I feel like I have enough determination to do it.
That should be it for my Personal Narrative. Thank you for reading!
