Your black boots clicked against the damp stone alleyway, echoing dangerously off the building walls. You were nearly at your destination, it was literally just around the corner.
You had moved to Japan from your home country after being scouted by the League of Villains. A colleague of yours said that a group in Japan were recruiting and not an hour later you had received an invite. You found the timing almost laughable.
You needed a break from your regular life anyway so you packed up your few things and hopped on the first plane available but not before asking the same colleague to gift you with the Japanese language. That was his Quirk, "God's Gift" he called it. The Quirk allowed him to acquire any amount of knowledge and also could gift other people with what they needed to know.
Sighing, you turned the corner and stopped outside of the door that held your future behind it.
Ha, what future? You thought to yourself.
Knocking in a specific sequence, you didn't have to wait very long for the door to swing open. A tall man with a face made of purple fog and yellow eyes greeted you at the entrance.
"You must be (Y/N). My name is Kurogiri, a pleasure to make your acquaintance. We've heard so much about you."
You nodded. Having done your research before moving, you had found out exactly who you would be working with and what their Quirks are. Neither of which mattered to you given the Quirk that you possessed.
"Please, come in." He gestured inside and you followed, being lead into what looked to be an underground bar. In the centre of the room was a person covered in disembodied hands. Interesting.
"This is Shigaraki Tomura." Kurogiri introduced the leader and stepped back, allowing you two to speak.
"So you're (Y/N)?" His voice was breathy and uncomfortable to listen to.
"That would be me." You replied, taking a seat at the nearest table.
"Hmm, you're not what I was expecting." Shigaraki sounded disappointed, whiny almost. You raised an eyebrow, knowing that they couldn't see your face because of your hood.
As much as you wanted to ask him what he was expecting, a better question presented itself instead. "How much?"
"What?"
"How much will you be paying me?" You asked in a bored tone, looking down at your nails.
"You're not getting paid."
You laughed, finding that sentence comical. "You expect me to listen to your orders and do your dirty work for free? I may as well just pack up my things and leave now."
The warp gate looked between you and Shigaraki nervously before pulling the hand villain towards him.
"We need her remember? You can't afford to pass up her services." He whispered but you still managed to hear, drumming your fingers against the table as you waited.
The sound of scratching filled the air, soon followed by a sigh. "Name your price."
You grinned. "Now you're talking."
The minute you named your price, you could hear both villains gasp slightly. Yes your skills were expensive but it's not like you didn't work hard for them.
Shigaraki was about to protest but you could see Kurogiri stop him, shaking his head slightly. This caused you to smirk slightly.
They needed you in the League and would be willing to pay however much you demanded.
You loved this power.
"Done." The leader all but growled which made your smirk turn into a smile.
"I expect payment at the end of every two days. Pleasure doing business with you."
Suddenly the door flew open and in stepped two more villains. One was a short girl in what looked to be a Japanese school uniform, supporting two messy blonde buns either side of her head. She took one look at you and smiled maniacally.
The other was a tall male with black hair that spiked up in every direction, patchwork skin held together by staples and the most stunning turquoise eyes you had ever seen.
Japan's villains already surpassed all the villains you saw at home and you had only been here for a day.
"Is this her?" The girl all but yelled, rushing up to you and grabbing your hand. You internally recoiled by the sudden contact but your face remained impassive. Not like they could see anyway due to your hood.
You heard Kurogiri respond with a quick "yes" and the girl squealed.
"I'm Toga and that's Dabi." She gushed, pointing to the tall male who gave you a quick nod and a lopsided smirk, you returned the favour. "I've been waiting for you! It's nice to finally have another girl in the group!"
"(Y/N)." You responded coolly however she remained unfazed by your lack of enthusiasm, if anything she smiled wider which you didn't think was possible.
"You're so cool!" Her cheeks dusted pink with excitement but before she could say anymore, Dabi pried her away from you and sat in the seat next to your one. You could hear Toga whine but he ignored her, setting his feet on top of the table.
"So what made you come to this shithole?" Dabi asked, casting you a lazy sideways glance.
You shrugged, leaning back in your chair. "I outgrew my old shithole."
Dabi chuckled. "And what will you do when you get tired of this one?"
"Move onto the next."
Your wisecracks with Dabi was cut short by the sound of intense scratching from behind.
"Remove your hood." Shigaraki demanded and you smirked, standing up.
"I'd like my payment in cash." You tilted your head down and slowly removed your hood. Gradually, you lifted your head once more and Toga squealed again.
"You're so foreign and pretty! I wonder if your blood is as pretty." She sighed dreamily, resting her head in her hands. Having spent so much time with villains, this comment didn't scare you in the slightest like it once would've many years ago.
"Ask me in a month and then you can see just how pretty it is."
Despite not having much of a face, you could tell Kurogiri was disgusted by your comment meanwhile Dabi chuckled once more.
"I think you're my favourite person in this room." He said which made your lips tilt upwards a little.
"Kinda impossible not to like me when I'm this charming."
"Yep, definitely my favourite."
"Oh! You're my favourite too!" Toga exclaimed and latched herself onto you once more. Sheesh, no villains were like this back where you came from. You couldn't really complain though, it was certainly more interesting here.
"So you'll join us then (Y/N)?" Kurogiri spoke up after a few minutes of you trying to pry Toga off of your arm.
"Didn't I already say that I would?" You eventually managed to shake Toga off and you stepped towards the warp gate. "Just let me know what you need me to do."
"We're formulating a plan which we will need your help with."
"When?"
"In a week."
Turning around, you headed for the exit. "Well, you know where I'll be and until then, I'm gonna sight see. See you guys in a week." You called out to the villains behind you, waving your hand in a half-assed attempt at saying goodbye. Leaving the hideout, you pulled up your hood once more so it covered your face and you stepped back into the alleyway, your black boots clicking against the damp stone which echoed dangerously off the building walls.
