PROLOGUE

I was floating above them. I didn't know where I was, what those creatures were or how I was there. But I remember everything vividly.

The creatures stood behind the dragons whom I assumed were their generals. The dragons were shining. All six talked in sync, commanding the creatures. I couldn't understand what they were saying, I didn't know what language they were speaking.

They stood in front of what looked like a sanctuary. On top stood 12 women. All shining but all in different colours. All 12 looked down at the armies that were, no doubt, about to launch an attack on the sanctuary. The women did not seem worried about this, in fact it looked like they were expecting this attack and are ready.

After several minutes, the dragons stopped shouting at the creatures, and with one last yell, they assaulted the sanctuary. The dragons flew, some creatures dug underground and the rest ran to the sanctuary that was soon to be burned to ashes.

The women shouted words in the same language as the dragons. The purple lady turned some of the creatures into her pets which attacked their own allies. The grey lady poisoned the enemy and turned them into flaming balls which double every few seconds. The amber coloured lady created black holes which sucked up enemies. The auburn lady petrified enemies by covering them in stone. The green lady helped her friends by giving them power. The red lady burned the enemy to ashes. The blue lady created clones of herself and her friends which fought the enemy but could not use the magic that the original women were using. The lady glowing in white healed her allies. The golden lady yelled commands at her friends, once every minute she pauses and concentrates on a dragon as if to look into its head. The dark looking lady poisoned the enemy and took their abilities away. The ghost looking lady (I could see through her) threw bombs at the enemy killing many at a time. Lastly the turquoise lady put shields on her allies that protected them from many attacks.

Even by doing everything they could, the dragons and their creatures still killed the women one by one. The ladies were out numbered, killed mercilessly by the dragons.

When the monsters were finished murdering the women, one creature, it looked like an overgrown ant, looked at me and shrieked. The scream was very high pitched even though I knew it was just a dream I covered my ears and tries to protect myself from the piercing noise. Then the rest of the army saw me.

Then they started running, all of them bloodthirsty. They want to kill all in their sight. I tried to run away but I couldn't move my legs, it felt as if they were stone. My heart was racing, an army is about to tear me to pieces and I could not do anything about it. I was going to die.

CHAPTER1

It's a new day. Bright yellow rays of sunshine woke me up like an alarm clock for eyes. I despise the sun for waking me up early. Eventhough it was already eleven o'clock, I loved my sleep. The nightmares that would get my heart pumping. I remember it completely, the clashing weapons and body parts, the colorful blood. It started so long ago, I dislike it, yet, I'm fond of it. At first I didnt know what to do but, with each phantasm, I grow attached to it more and more. I dont know what else to be scared of.

I drag my self off the bed and reach for my bass guitar. The low-toned sound it makes helps me get up in the morning, especially when the dreams occur. No one knows about them but me, I play a simple riff. The bass line for "Beat It" by Michael Jackson, I remember the notes clearly now that I dont even have to think before playing them. I pluck the strings slowly and imagine the song playing in my head, slow. Then, gradually faster, until I cant move my fingers fast enough to keep up with my toe tapping. Breathing slowly, calming myself. It feels nice.

Putting the bass down I get off from the comfort of my soft bed. I try to open the door as quietly as possible, although its never opened without waking up my little sister. I walk out of my bedroom and enter a cold, dark and creaky hallway. This hallway is a challenge for me, I always try to walk my the edges so I dont make any sounds that could wake up everyone. Silence was my objective during this "challenge". After the hallway there was only the living room and the kitchen, the house was small but enough for a family of four. I grab myself a glass of milk and a banana and walk outside, onto the cold porch. Only wearing my pajamas, it felt chilly. Taking a bite out of the banana, i close my eyes and enjoy the sweet taste of it, when I notice something. There was a white light on the grass.

It looked like a lightbulb, but, without the bulb. I looked closer and noticed little cracks on the light as if darkness was about to hatch from the ball of light. There was a low hum coming from it, I was confused.

"What is it?" I whisper to myself. The sun is slowly revealing itself from behind the mountains and  i could feel the warm rays on my skin. A crack came from the light. The hum became a growl. I crouched on the grass  and took a better look at the light. After a few seconds of the light gradually getting stronger, and the hum getting louder my instincts told me to take a step back. Im glad I did.

In one quick moment, the light's cracks were repaired and it became nothing but a little dark sphere. Two seconds later I was forced backwards by an explosion. The trees and grass around me were pushed by the same unexpected slap of air. The explosion was silent, but I couldn't here anything when I sat up. The first thing I see were scales, no, those are feet. The nails looked more like claws, thick and sharp. There's also a voice.
