Chapter VI: The Mission Pt.I

Peter's P.O.V

"A mission with jess!?!" I said completely bewildered...why the hell did she think that me being teamed up with Jess was a good Idea?!?

"Yep! as far as I heard Slenda found the location of zalgo's cult and wanted to send you and Jess on a stakeout!" Benny said.

"Okay..but why am I teamed with Jess though? Not that I have a problem with going! it's just that I'm pretty sure jess hates me!" I said.

"Hey don't ask me...I'm just a messenger!" Benny said with an innocent smile, she then gave a two finger salute and teleported away, leaving me to stand around like an idiot...

"How did she- *sigh* Nevermind....might as well go and get a briefing on our mission while my suit gets cleaned." I said as I headed towards slenda's office.

Slenda's Office

I was walking through the halls and saw the door to slenda's office and gave it a knock, After a few minutes of waiting the door slid open revealing Slenda..

"Good evening...i see your finally awake...come in." She said in a welcoming tone as she moved to the side to allow me to come into the office, I then stepped in but as soon as I walked in I saw Jess sitting in a chair in front of Slenda's desk which caused me to stop dead in my tracks.

"Is there something wrong?" Slenda asked concerned, Which caused Jess to turn around and face us causing her to narrow her eyes and cross her arms.

"Took you long enough...Well don't just stand there! Hurry up and sit down already so Slenda can explain our mission! And take that stupid paper bag off!" She nagged...sheesh looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning..

"For your information I have a secret identity to uphold! Not that you'd know anything about stuff like that..." I said while sitting down next to her, But moving my chair over five inches away from hers.

"Why are you wearing a paper bag anyway? And what happened to your suit?" Slenda asked.

"I had to wash it this morning, And as for the paper bag I still want to keep my identity a secret for now." I said simply.

"But didn't Jane and Jess already see you unmasked?" Slenda asked again.

"Yeah...but I'm just not comfortable with showing everyone else....at least not yet." I said.

"Understandable...so about the mission...i sent Clockwork,Scaria, and Angel to find out were Zalgo's cult was...and they found them at this exact location."  Slenda said sliding me and Jess a folder of multiple pictures taken of some guys in druid robes with a strange logo on their backs, Yeah this is definetly a cult, like something you would see on the set of a really bad horror movie.

"Boy, these guys look like real bad news...." I said examining the pictures carefully, from what I've gathered from the photos...it looks like they're doing all this stuff at some warehouse.....huh I recognize this place..

"This is an old warehouse near central park that my old villain tombstone used to sell drugs and a lot of other illegal things!" I said remembering my past run ins with my old pal tombstone, Man...my ribs hurt just thinking about that beat down he gave me that one time..

"Yes...which is why I want you to go with Jess on this mission, Seeing as though you know your way around New York better than anybody in this mansion." Slenda said.

"Well...I am good with tourists!" I joked while looking towards Jess and earning a scoff from the ravenette..

"As if I ever want you to be my tour guide, Especially swinging around in that getup you call a uniform." Jess smirked.
