Falling During Filming

Chapter 54

Andrew's POV

I had flown to Atlanta to visit with Skylar and Jeff to meet their baby, I stand next to Jeff and laugh while Skylar starts fussing over Bella I look at him. "We have the season eight premiere and the Talking Dead special after that in LA how are you going to get her to leave the baby for one night?" He shrugs "I have no idea I can't even get her to go out with me for lunch so my mom can watch her." I shake my head. "It sounds like she has a little separation anxiety it's normal my wife was like that with our first baby just take it slow and go out somewhere close to home." Jeff nods "I'll try hopefully it works." Skylar lets me hold Bella and I look at her as I rock her slowly. She was a replica of Jeff but even at a few weeks old her baby blue eyes had flecks of green and hazel in them she was going to be beautiful. Hopefully Skylar would be able to leave her for the Talking Dead Special.

Skylar's POV

I bit my lip nervously when Jeff and I leave the house so we could go get our clothes for the special and the premiere Jeff had been thinking about what he wanted to wear he wasn't going to go too dressy he wanted to stay casual. I wanted to wear something dressy and form fitting I had been doing a lot to get back in shape after having Bella I look for hours until I finally find a dress, I didn't want something that was too fancy that I would never wear again, I pick a black and red dress with a pair of matching heels I was a simple person plus I liked this dress I wanted to be able to wear it again. I try on the dress then looked in the mirror it fit and hugged my new curves perfectly it would be perfect I pay for the dress then leave to meet Jeff.

Jeff's POV

I wasn't going to over the top for the special I was planning on something else, by the time of the premiere and special Bella would be a little over six weeks old Skylar would be meeting with Dr. Carter soon to make sure that everything was healing okay from the delivery, I had missed here and we did want to try for another baby but we should probably wait for that. I would do something simple and just add a jacket or whatever for what I was wearing I walk outside and smile when I see Skylar standing by the truck I wrap my arms around her waist then pull her close she wraps her arms around my neck I lean in and kiss her. I kiss back and pull her against me she tugs my hair I groan and pull away then start rubbing her side "how about we go to lunch?" She starts biting her lip and I'm afraid she might say no. "Lunch would be great." I smile maybe this was a step forward.

Skylar's POV

Jeff and I drive to a restaurant close by we go to a private table so we wouldn't be seen or interrupted I look over the menu then Jeff reaches across the table and holds my hand I look at him and he's smiling. "I'm wrapped around Bella's tiny fingers she's amazing and I love her but I'm glad we're alone to have some time together." It had been awhile since we had some time just us I had missed it I didn't realize how involved we were with taking care of Bella. I rub his hand "I've missed this I'm sorry we haven't been doing anything together and that I've been too scared to leave her." He kisses my hand. "I understand you don't have to apologize it's hard for me to leave her too but we still need time to do adult things and be alone together." Jeff was right we did need time together and maybe we could be the way we were before we had Bella.
