Before filming began, one of our crew members threw a party at his house. He had invited us all via grouptext. I wondered if Lana could make it, if she'd be tipsy and if she would be wearing a cute dress again. To be honest, I had spent a lot of days imagining conversations with Lana. In German there is an actual term for that: it's called Kopfkino (which basically translates to head cinema). I wondered if I should text Janel or Lana (I knew them the most) whether I should pick them up, or whether we should all uber together. I always overthink this kind of stuff a lot, especially when contacting girls who are in a relationship. Don't wanna come across as being a jerk and overstepping any line. But I figured that this approach was harmless, so I created a grouptext for just the three of us.

Me: Would anyone want me to pick them up for the party or uber from somewhere together?

Janel: I won't be able to make it. I'm so annoyed. My sister's having a bookclub party and she told me I was playing a major role in the organizing process, so I guess I gotta be there. Have fun though, loves!

Me: That's too bad. :( But maybe you can come after the party?

Lana: Nooooo Janelllyyyyyy whyyy :'( I'm gonna miss you, girl. At least I got Noah to take care of me.

As I was typing a response, I got a private message from Lana:

"Do you wanna pregame at my place and then uber there? Unfortunately Israel isn't free to come tonight either, but Anthony, my boyfriend will come along with us. Be here at 8", she texted. It sounded like this evening was going to be interesting.

I stood in front of my mirror. My hair had gotten too long again, although I had been told by some girl that she really liked my curly hair and the way it apparently fell into my face every now and then. I went to my closet to pick my favorite green shirt, that I already had gotten a lot of compliments for. I didnt' wanna look less a man than Anothony. Although I had never met him and no clue what he looked like.

When I arrived at Lana's place, she opened the door with an expression I had never seen on her. Anger. "Sorry, Anthony and I got into a fight and he went to another party instead", she said apologetically.
