Kaia and Ahmir made their way back to Malibu and then she freshened up and showered.  They all had a bite to eat and then Zayn, Kaia, Liam, Katia, and Louis headed to the hospital.  Tricia and Donyia were staying at the house to stay with the children. She tried to reassure her daughter in law that everything was going to be alright.

Once back at the hospital they found Harry in the family waiting room.  So far there hasn't been any word. The woman that Marian was getting the heart from, her family was having a difficult time saying goodbye and it took longer for the surgeons to remove the heart and prepare it for Marian.

Kaia and Louis had sat together and tried to do some lyric writing but she was too antsy. He suggested she stretch her legs for a little while.  She asked Zayn for some change to get a soda and she made her way down the hallway to where she had seen some vending machines earlier.

Rosalie gave Faith to Gemma who agreed to stay behind and watch the little girl.  She watched Anne give Harry a reassuring hug and a kiss and then Jeremy drove them to the hospital, but then found himself unable to sit still in the waiting room. So she made his way down to the cafe.

She was a ball of nerves, her one and only child was having major surgery. Her husband couldn't sit still and she felt that she had no one to lean on. So she began to wander and found herself near the coffee machines. Maybe a tea would calm her nerves.

Kaia heard footsteps behind her and she took her soda out of the machine and turned to leave and didn't see the other person hadn't moved.  "Oh excuse me," she said.

 "You're not excused," Rose grumbled.

Kaia dropped her soda and it began to sputter from the can. "Shit," she swore and saw a pan with rags and water and wiped up her mess. "Rosalie," she said. "Did I get any on you? I'm sorry if I did."

"No, why am I not surprised you can't even handle a soda right," Rosalie said annoyed as she grabbed a few napkins and began to clean her leg off.  "Like I don't have enough to worry about."

"I said I was sorry Rosalie," she said and rinsed off her hands. "Can I get you a coffee?" She asked. "Tea?"

"Tea." She sighed. "I'm a nervous wreck."

"Why don't you sit down and I'll get it for you," Kaia said giving her a small smile.

"Fine, but I don't like it steaming hot." Rosalie reminded her as she didn't want a burnt tongue to top off her day.

"Of course," Kaia said. "Do you still like it with cream?"

 "Yes, please and thank you."

Kaia watched as she went to sit down at one of the tables. The cafe was nearly empty as she went to get Rosalie her tea with just a little cream and two sugar packets.

She went to the table and set the tea down in front of Rosalie. "Here you go. A little cream and two sugar packs."

Rosalie nodded her head and began to fix her tea.  "This waiting is going to be the hard part, I didn't think you would be here. Seeing as your home is in London now with your husband and children."

Kaia stood behind the chair opposite of Rosalie and her hands gripped the back of it.  "Why wouldn't I be here?" She asked. "Marian is my best friend. She's the sister of my heart. I wouldn't be anywhere else."

"It'ss just you have your own family. I figure you would be with them instead of still following my daughter around like a little lost puppy dog" Rosalie smirked. As she sipped her tea.

Kaia chewed the inside of her cheek as she listened to Rosalie's words. "I'm not a little lost puppy," she said firmly. "Your daughter has always been there for me and I'm always going to be there for her."
