Chapter 41

 "Mr. and Mrs. Swan, your daughter is awake and asking for you," Dr. Jones said walking back into the waiting room.

"Thank you doctor, I can't thank you enough for everything you have done for our family," Jeremy said shaking the doctors hand.

"What about me, doctor?" Harry stood up wiping his hands on his pants.

"Sorry, Mr. Styles when she woke up, she only asked for her parents," he told him then saw his face fall.

"Don't worry, Harry," Rosalie said reassuringly "I'm sure she just wants to see her father first. We will come get you the moment we are done talking to her. I promise," she said hugging him.

"Thanks, Rose, tell Marian I love her," he said then watched them go.

Jeremy and Rosalie walked into the room to find the nurse adjusting Marian's IV bag.  "If you need anything or start feeling any pain, just press your call button.

"Princess?" Jeremy said wiping away a tear.

"Daddy, don't cry, I'm fine," Marian said then cranked her head around him to look for her mother.  "Mom!"

"Yes, princess," Rose smiled at her blinking back her tears.

"Can I get a hug?"

Jeremy gave his daughter then his wife an odd look.

"Of course my love," Rose said soaking up the attention she was getting from her daughter.

Marian hugged her mother tightly.  "Where's Kaia?" She asked surprised not to see her right behind them.

"She went home with her husband, she needed to check on her children," Jeremy said then went in for a hug of his own. Unused to this side of his daughter

"Don't be silly daddy, who in the world would marry Kaia?" Marian said jokingly as she hugged her father.  "Mom, can we go to tea when I get out of the hospital?" 

"Princess are you feeling okay?" Jeremy asked becoming worried as his daughter hadn't ask to go to tea since she was 8 years old.

"Do you want it to just be the two of us or would you like to invite your husband?" Rosalie asked oblivious to what was going on with her daughter, overjoyed at the fact her daughter wanted to do something with her.

"I'm fine daddy," Marian said giving him an odd look.  "Mom, you are too funny, I'm not the marrying kind." She laughed " What is with the two of you and wanting Kaia and I to be married? Kaia and I are both too young for any such thing."

Jeremy turned to his wife, now worried something was extremely wrong with his daughter.  "Rose, something isn't right. Stay here."

"Okay," Rose nodded.  "Sweetheart, does the name Faith Amelia mean anything to you?" 

"I like the name Amelia, I think it would be very fitting if I ever get around to writing my first novel. As soon as Kaia is settled, it's my plan to focus on my writing." 

"Oh baby," Rosalie began to weep as she hugged her daughter tightly.

A few minutes later...

"Marian love are you okay?" Harry asked as he walked in with Jeremy. He could tell something was off with him, but he would not elaborate.

Marian looked over at her father as her mom pulled away.  "Are you trying to set me up daddy? A little odd seeing as I just had heart surgery. I don't think now is the time to see me up with one of your friends sons." She said looking at the handsome man in front of her.  "You are very nice to look at and all, but you aren't really my type. I like them more rugged.  Sorry my father dragged you in her for nothing."
