Marian was sitting out on the patio writing in her journal. She had taken to sitting outside and soaking up the sun as she got used to the fact she had lost part of her memory.  When she recovered a memory she wrote it down. She found writing very comforting to her. She knew that Kaia had a husband and not a boyfriend which annoyed her to no end. She felt like Kaia somehow was preventing her from seeing that sexy British man who came to see her. Always stealing the men she was into which was why she stopped trying as it never seemed to end well for her.

"Princess, you have a visitor. Are you up for it?" Jeremy said popping onto the patio.

"It isn't Harry again is it, I don't know how many times I have to tell him I have no idea who he is and at the moment.   I don't care."

"No, sweetheart," Jeremy smiled inwardly. "It's someone you know, a friend."

"Okay, send this friend in. Thanks, daddy."

Zayn nervously waited in Jeremy's study. The past two weeks hadn't been easy for any of them. Trying to keep Ahmir calm, that his T still loved him and that he would be able to see her soon. Kaia would talk to Marian on the phone and saw her every few days but she always seemed to come home in a testy mood after her visits with her best friend.

Harry was beside himself because of Marian not knowing who he was. He didn't even bring up Faith.  Louis was a godsend with helping Ahmir and also Destiny too.

He had called Jeremy and asked if he could come to visit. Kaia had told him that Marian was remembering bits and pieces. He stopped at the florist on the way and Starbucks as well.  He turned when he heard footsteps. "Is she willing to see me?" He asked.

"Yes, as long as you aren't Harry, she is okay seeing you," Jeremy laughed. "She is getting better every day. Remembering little tidbits here and there. She is the same person we love, so don't feel the need to walk on eggshells. Kaia tries that and it never ends well. Marian gets frustrated with her."

Zayn couldn't help but smirk. "I know. She comes home very frustrated," he said with a small laugh. "Thanks, Jeremy." He picked up the flowers and the Starbucks and headed outside.

"Good luck," Jeremy smiled then went to find his wife who was loving this new side of their daughter. She was already working on dinner in the kitchen.

Marian looked up at the man standing in the doorway.  "Hello, are those for me?" She asked.

Zayn smiled and stepped closer. "Yes," He said handing her the bouquet and the Starbucks cup. "So is this."

"Thank you, this was very nice of you. I'm going to assume that we know each other well seeing as you brought me my favorite Starbucks drink," she said.  "The flowers are gorgeous."

"Yes," he said with a smile and sat down. "You're welcome." He handed her a Starbucks gift bag as well. "This is from Kaia."

"You must be the husband if you are doing her bidding." She sighed heavily then rolled her eyes.  "Tell her thank you, but she didn't need to.  You are the musician right?" She asked.

"Well, you know how she can be. Doesn't want anyone to dislike her and is always trying to make things up to people even though she doesn't always do anything wrong," he said with a smile. "And yes, I'm Zayn," he said and held out his hand to her. "It's good to see you again, Marian."

Marian felt a sudden rush of warmth and love come over her as she shook Zayn's hand. She was instantly in a bedroom cupboard and he was trying to convince her to come out. She had memories of having several conversations with this man, he never took Kaia's side over hers. Which she extremely liked. She had a memory of giving him the first draft of a story for his thoughts on it. She would only do that if she trusted him.  "We are friends" She beamed at him. "We talk a lot"
